God i have such a fancrush on you! Your stories are amazing, and so damn believable i find myself crying "Why oh why were you such a cruel bastard Joss?!"
Oh well this story and others (Included Her Way and Changes) made up for 7 horrible seasons- 2 in particular i'd prefer to forget!
I really hope to see more stories like this that take place in earlier seasons cause you are one of the few authors that does it well! Cheers!
Author's Response: Whoa! Thank you so very much! I just love these two characters so much, I have to keep writing stories about the way I wanted things to go for them. The next one is set in Season 6, with Buffy reacting better after being resurrected, but then there'll be another Season 4. I'm delighted you like my work!

Just started this on a whim and am completely enchanted by it. I love the reflective tone of this. Buffy's insight is fun and true and real. Even though this is not the way she acted in the show, you've done a great job of showing how close she was to being this Buffy. A little more introspection, a couple of different choices...
You're also doing a great job with Spike. Nice balance showing how strong he is for willing to be subjugated to love.

Author's Response: Thank you! The whole story came about because I was wondering how things might have changed if college had taught Buffy to think. And I've always thought that to love that deeply came from strength rather than weakness. I'm just delighted you liked it.

I was so happy when I saw that you had posted a new story! And became even happier when I saw that the all chapters would be up so quick.
It was an really great story :) Not my favourite of yours, but still absolutely great. I liked how B stood up for herself against her friends, and that S kicked Angels' ass. A tip for the future is to not use the same sentences and such. I recognized a couple from your old stories. Dunno about you, but I don't like that kind of thing, it's like one can't come up with something new ;) And I know you can!

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! I try not to use the same sentences. The trouble is that one thinks one's found the perfect words for something, then realize one has to find different perfect words when the same situation repeats and that's hard to do.
