Please let Buffy think about what she wants and not what everyone else wants for her. I suppose vulnerable Spike negates "evil, soulless vampire" and would make him harder to kick to the kerb. I can't imagine you having trouble with your writing because I thought that was just so good and I loved it - every word.

Nobody asked after Buffy took it back (carving blood). Could be a thing to research but no, nobody cared. Lovely friends, huh?
The fight for the bed was fun :)
And it seems that Buffy really needs the blood now.
I wonder if Xander really found a way to destroy/undo the claim or if he just thinks he does. You know, wishful thinking, seeing something and hoping it fits.
