This little ficlet could be an interesting prologue to a story where when Spike gets to Sunnydale 20 years later, there's the same young girl as the Slayer pretending to be a high school student. Hmmm, *eyes the plot kitty and says 'it's not my story, go bother Vanilla not me'* LOL

Whoa...I'm not sure what else I can say after that. You have the original, evil, manic Spike down in a way that most of the show's writers never understood. The reality of NYC subways, the overwhelming charisma of the Vampire Spike and the Lolita-like questioning of Buffy about sex and power, all combine to create a story that will tear at the edges of my mind for quite a while. I'm not sure this needs a sequel: this says it all.
