Buffy is like a person trapped in a coma - hearing everything going on around them unable to communicate... except now.

This was another haunting chapter in this vivid, emotional story. Buffy's attacks seem to be a form of punishment, but I'm sure all will be revealed in time. Spike's dream was revealing. Of course he's the key to Buffy's memories, he's part of the past she needs to reclaim.

it's always wonderful to read more of this entertaining, lyrical piece.

Uh-huh... what happened to Buffy? It's like someone is punishing her because she tried to remember.
Regarding the chip... if Spike is really that long in hell, maybe it just stopped working. It was never planned - I guess - that the chip should work this long.
Ohhhhh I didn't expect that to be the writing on the wall!

Wow.. never expected her to write Spike's name... Or at least this time. She knows...

Would have to go back.. isn't it the same thing written over and over again... Could she have known it would be Spike that would come get her? Or just hope?

Figured the pain is Hell's way of keeping her from remembering. Negative reinforcement.

Are we at that moment of recognition and realization ? We are in Hell and Spike is hear to take me home..

Buffy leading Spike to the river showed that some part of her knows exactly what Spike is, and the blood coursing through Spike pushed him to unlock even more of her core self through violence. The unprovoked attack led to a vivid, brutal fight, but I enjoyed Spike calming Buffy back to her warm, affectionate self.

The push and pull of emotions in Spike is very entertaining, and I'm enjoying Buffy's journey back to herself and Spike in this story.

Loved this chappie... their fight, her reaction to Spike's vamp face, all of it. She is slowly coming around, I think. And Buffy showing Spike the river was sweet. I really like the way you write Spike and all his inner thoughts. You've captured him very well.
Thank you for sticking with this story even tho RL is so busy, take all the time you need, we'll still be reading.:)
