I know I read this a long time ago (sometime before I penned my review for the epilogue!!) but don't see my review(s) here... but I know I loved it! It was long and sometimes heartbreaking, in the best way... it's how we got inside Spike's head... and it was so fantastic to see what he built with and for Buffy. Completely lovely and touching. I may have had some constructive criticism at the time, but I haven't read it again since then, so I don't remember anything bad. I do remember really, really enjoying this one, though.

This was a wonderful ending to this emotional journey. You believably gave both Spike and Buffy the chance to explore their feelings outside the scope of Sunnydale and the influence of her friends. They both grew together while in Hell and this transition back into the "real" world was still filled with tension right up to Buffy declaring her feelings.

I love this cynical, hilarious line detailing the big, tearful reunion: They hugged it out, crying and sputtering words that felt cliché but right somehow–like the sopping end of some family sitcom where the big misunderstanding resulted in a life lesson learned well. It's such a perfectly Spike observation.

Thanks for wrapping this piece up so beautifully. It was a real pleasure to read.

The avid lovemaking was beautiful even though there was a hint of desperation to it. It makes perfect sense that both would be wary of reuniting with the gang. Even though they'd been in hell, the love they've been sharing has been a balm. The gang could put a wedge between them. Here's hoping Buffy's centuries in hell have finally given her the back bone to stand up to them.

Best thing I've read of yours yet, and I've read all you've put up here, and on two other archives. Excellent narrative tension, Spike and Buffy both spot on for character. Strong pacing, good writing. Really kept my attention all the way through, in a situation that could easily have fallen over into mawkishness. Top marks!

congratulation for this amazing story. It one of my favourites and one of the best I ever read. I imagine it was a piece of work,because every chapter and every line is so well considered. It took some time but it was worth waiting. So I hope the muse is still with you and I am looking forward for another great story of yours.

Buffy didn't die in hell - means she'll live back on earth a bit longer too? Means = she is immortal now?
Mmmh they got Angel to help them. Getting impatient, huh? But it was only a week for them.
Awe :) Loved the reunion with Dawn. But all in all meeting the scoobies went well.
And Buffy is immortal and very much in love. Good then to be immortal if you love a vampire.

Love it - a long story but I loved the journey a lot. Well done.

OT but you know what? Thanks for finishing it. Sadly so many good stories are unfinished.

Awe :) Just loved it, the spuffyness. A big step to ask Spike to move in. To say it short: loved it (I don't want to quote all the lines I loved or this here would get too long.)
