Sweet. simple, sweet and to the point (for the most part) hard to be to much to the point w/ only 2 chapters, but i liked it. it had a nice simplistic nature to it while the story seemed to be way more complicated. i don' t think that makes sense but i know what i'm trying to say in my head. sorry. i do like it tho.

Spike was in the room next to Buffy? = in the same house? I thought he was a neighbor.
The way Buffy left was hurtful to Spike; I'd thought she would have at last said goodbye to him in person when (because) they were involved. Thinking of that they got back together again very quickly.
Well at last they are back together now it seems.

Author's Response: Spike is Buffy's Nana's next door neighbor, but when ever Buffy would come for the summer, he would spend a few nights there. they were best friends then lovers...but do you think Nana would willingly let them sleep in the same room? lol And now that his flat was incinerated, he's staying with the old couple that have pretty much turned into family....i hope that clears things up for you.

I like this alot! The sweetness of their relationship, and the fact that they could pick up where they left off is nice. Not many relationships could do that.
And btw - a sequel would be greeted with open arms!

I can believe that someone might not date for ten years if they are really busy and still completely in love with someone who isn't around. I understand that Buffy wanted to go to school and everything. I think it was kind of messed of her to leave Spike hanging. He forgave really quickly but glad that they got back together. I'm just curious on what Spike does. I don't thin you never mention what Spike does for a living. I like the idea of a sequel.

18? Then Buffy is 28 now. A long time to be away and alone for her. Make me wonder what happened that they didn't stay together (especially when Buffy is still in love with her even if Spike isn't that much - having been involved with Drusilla). No wonder Spike didn't recognize her after all that time.
Too bad it didn't work back then - I hope you'll 'make it better' now.

Your summary can use editing:

Each summer, Buffy Summers traveled from the States to England to visit her Grandparents and a good friend of hers, Spike, who lived next door. Then, one summer--the summer Buffy turned sixteen--things changed; she and Spike fell in love. But the summer Buffy turned eighteen, she left Spike so she could return to school and start her career. She returns to England a decade later, and everything has changed.

Do with it what you will. I think it reads better and will have people wanting to see what it's about. You may want to get a beta for the actual story, too.
