I know that Buffy was hurt by Spike but blaming him for not knowing Dawn is beyond the pale. How you write Buffy in this story makes me laugh. I am an attorney primarily practicing family law and I deal with custody issues frequently. Buffy's conversation with Spike is exactly how many mothers I represent talk to their child's fathers. I hope there won't be any Spike/Faith relationship. Please keep writing and updating.

Well Buffy was the one that walked away - but Spike told her so. Yet she should have tried to contact him, she can't lay all the blame on Spike. (I know, she isn't doing that).
Ad for Faith - for Buffy's sake I hope Faith's one-night-stand wasn't Spike.

I can understand that Spike is angry, Buffy did hide her daughter from him for a long time.
I wonder if she won't fear that Spike would try to take her away. I don't know how the right legal term is, sorry. So both of the parents have a right to say about Dawn.

I don't know about this chapter. Spike and Buffy's reactions seem to be unreal to me. I am sure that it is difficult to express outrage but it seems that Spike's reaction was somewhat tepid. I know that he is upset and most Mother's are not so quick to let the Father see their child without them the first time. It is not a criticism just an observation. I like your story and am anxious to read what will happen next.

Author's Response: Yeah being a mom myself i know i would be hesitant to just let my daughter go without me but with this fic Buffy does because she feels she has to, she kept Spike from Dawn for 3 yrs and kinda feels like she doesn't have the right to stop him seeing her now. Good for Spike to get to know what he feels and that he has made up again with Cordelia and Xander. Sadly it seems to be too late now.
Not sure if his tears will move Joyce.

I can't blame Joyce for being angry given that her seventeen-year-old daughter is pregnant and heart broken. Hopefully when she thinks about it, she'll reconsider enough to tell Buffy Spike was looking for her and let her daughter decide what to do.
