wow! for a sec there i thought it was gonna be spike's dad but then i thought 'why would rupert tell spike he's going on a date if it was him that joyce was engaged to?' but i was not expecting angel's dad. this is gonna become twisted and either angel is going to help dru and cause problems for buffy and spike or he's going to help them. i really can't see it being good that he's gonna be buffy's stepbrother though so he's probly gonna help dru. great story so far! i'm excited to read the rest! update soon!

well, at least it's not giles, but this so doesn't make any sense to me. i'm trying to get into this story, but it keeps confusing me more and more. joyce is technically still married, but she's engaged to someone else? yeah, it doesn't work like that, you can't be married to two people. she must not know about buffy's past with angel, or she wouldn't have been so giddy about the whole thing. i don't see this ending well. as for william, if his mother left them, then i don't see why he's so upset about his father dating, he has a right to.

Author's Response: Ok, I am going to clarify some stuff in hopes that you will keep reading. Alright, so Joyce and Hank Summers do not live together. Minus the legalities, they are basically divorced. You CAN get engaged to someone even when you are still married. Joyce will have to deal with Hank at some point, but they aren't part of each others' lives. I haven't talked about whether or not Buffy told Joyce about Angel, but chances are high that she didn't cause Joyce is barely around. As for William and Giles, it is extremely painful when a single parent begins dating someone else. Giles may have the right to date and William did overreact, but there are things you still don't know about their past. I hope that helps.

Finally! Well, almost finally. Dru doesn't seem like the type of gal to let things go lightly. What is her deal anyway? Besides her being crazy of course, but she is extremely and unreasonably evil. Makes for a great story though! Love to see William finding himself. Hope he can patch his relationship with his dad! :-)

I love that they are so experiencing the same doubt and bubbling infatuation and yet have no idea how mutual it really is. And William standing up to Dru was pretty awesome, but knocking down the queen Bee is not gonna go without consequence. Wondering what is gonna hit the fan in this universe. Please, update soon.

now looking at the ending again, i realize they're not in his room, but still, the only obvious answer i have is that dru saw buffy with william, and now she wants to steal him away from her. after everything buffy told him about the bitch, i really don't see that happening.
