This is good I was thinking William was once again having it too easy for being a womanizer. In addion I truly can't stand her father the pig; I look forward to reading the next chapter.
Author's Response: Our past, no matter how hidden or forgotten by some, will not be by all. Karma has a way to bring us our just due. Good or bad.

I fear William's assignment and his lies will bite him in the ass, rather sooner than later. *sigh*
Enjoyed the update though.
Author's Response: But what an ass to bite! :)

I hope that Elizabeth won't be destroyed when she finds out her role at court. I hope that William is able to fix this mess he created. This does not bode well for our couple. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you Bridget, I appreciate you continuing with this story and review. Keep reading, all will be brought forth.

Uh Oh! Looks like some rough seas are ahead! I think it's all for the best that Elizabeth finds this out from her mother even if it creates problems with her and The Duke, she needs to know to mentally prepare for the challenges ahead. Plus, it means more sparks and fire flying between them!
Author's Response: Always sparks! Wouldn't be them without it!

So both Hank and Joyce noticed William's interest in Elizabeth. But what a difference of the reactions - Hank only thinks/assumes the worst, everything the king may want and Joyce, she wants to protect Elizabeth, finding out more. Shows a lot about her parents.
And I hope William can stand true to his word - Regardless of where we roam, my heart and soul belong to you and you alone. No one, King nor God himself, will pull our love asunder. I won't be easy I fear.
Looking forward to more.
(And thanks for telling about Joyce - last chapter.)
Author's Response: Thanks Cordy. I'm glad that the distinction between her parents showed through. I appreciate this review and all your reviews immensely. Thanks for each and every one.

Uh-huh, I had a bad feeling when Lady Joyce was so ill. But after hearing her message after Elisabeth left let me fear the worst.
I liked the way William took care that someone will look after Joyce / that he'll ask about her well being. Even if fear it won't be for long due to Joyce's illness.
Author's Response: Worry not cordy, Lady Summers will be well

I am so worried about William and his past rakish deeds and how lenient Elizabeth is with him how quickly they have grown towards each other as much as I love Spuffy it worries me. Just as I fear that her mother shall perish soon.
Author's Response: Keep reading...Elizabeth will not be as lenient as you think!

Poor Lady Summers! I do fear that her fate will not be a happy one, especially with a bleeding. It is very strange that they used to do that, but different times, different theories of healing. Love the sweet scenes between Buffy & Spike. Although the romantic scenes are sexy, I love how they can converse and meet with equal minds is in a way more sexy!
Author's Response: Yeah, it's pretty freaky the stuff they would do in beliefs that would cure ailments. I was reading some of them, absolutely crazy! I'm glad that you are enjoying the balance between romantic scenes and dialog

I am afraid that Lady Joyce will die as soon as Elizabeth leaves. The passion between William and Elizabeth is palpable. I can't wait for their journey to begin. Great chapter
Author's Response: Fear not...Lady Summers will be fine. Their journey will be soon

I fear that crossing the King may have dire consequences for Elizabeth and William. Short of going to a nunnery to stay out of reach of the King, the only ally in the court may be the Queen herself should they confide to her that they are in love. I look forward on how you'll spin their love for each other and the lusty intentions of the King in this story.
Author's Response: Thanks Vette...and thanks for the banner...love it everytime I look at it!

Uh, oh. The Duke bringing back his own fiance versus a "Lady" for the insatiable King will not go over well in the slightest. William is risking all for love. I'm waiting to see if he'll actually go through with it when the temptations of court and the obligations of king are placed before them.
Author's Response: Keep reading...court and the king will be soon!

Lady Summers sounds ill, not able to bear the sun?
But a good coincidence for William that he could continue the tour with Elizabeth. :)
A big step for these too, first kiss and confessions.
I fear indeed the King won't be pleased. Things will get interesting (and hopefully end well).
Author's Response: Don't worry, Lady Summers is fine. Yes, anytime that they can be alone is of the good!

Steamy chapter and they only kissed! it's definitely not going to be easy for them but at least they're getting somewhere now. Love how even when they're getting along they fight. With his history, they'll probably be fighting a lot, especially when they get back to court with all his ladies. Can't wait for the next one. :-)
Author's Response: TY demona! Since I'm such a smut queen, initially I thought I couldn't make a simple kiss steamy. I'm glad that I could!

Author's Response: Thanks Liz...more will be coming soon!

So innocent yet so hot. Love it.
Author's Response: I'm glad both came through in my writing

omg i LOVED this chapter and everything that transpired between Elizabeth and William. I can't wait to see what you have planned next!
Author's Response: Thanks sweetie! Keep reading!

Wow what a kiss I hadn't expected so soon but it works very well and the addition to his wish to have her hand despite the King. I hope no true illwill befalls them. Looking forward to restrained passion until then.
Author's Response: Well, it may seem soon, but you have to remember the times. People would marry not even knowing one another. Married and with children at 15, sometimes dead of old age at 50. Life was much different, people didn't date for days, never mind years!

Date: 03/19/2010 - 07:34 pm Title: Chapter Seven
love it ...love it, but please don't wait so long to post new chapters! Thank you.
Author's Response: I'll try. I intend to post once a week. RL is really busy and usually I can't do more than that...but I will try!

Milady is in for some big shocks when she gets to court!
Author's Response: Yes, very much so!

wow.. a proposal.. but will the King be willing to give up Elizabeth ?
enjoying.
Author's Response: Keep reading...

Author's Response: Thank you Bridget.

i love this fic i can't tell you how much! I feel like i'm reading one of Phillippa gregory's novels on the Tudors lol. More more more MORE

Jeez! Harlequin Historic, much? That was kind of a compliment, by the way, even though it's extremely cheesy! And still I can't stop reading! Your writing is truly addictive, and even though I find the ancient language really annoying at times it's mostly just... cute. Practically charming. I'll look forward to an update, both with intrigue and with dread. I've never felt so conflicted about a fic before... but in a good way! I think...
Author's Response: Well, I guess we are both conflicted. I don't know whether to be insulted or flattered by your review. Either way, thanks for it.

Awesome update! Looks like they might actually be getting somewhere this time. Buffy definitely needed the council otherwise she would have problem just thrown the necklace in his face! I love how fiesty and passionate she is. If she was just a demure, shy flower that the roguish William charmed it would be boring and this story is anything but that!
Author's Response: Oh she would never be a shy flower. It's not in my nature to write her like that. Even the few times I've written Willow, she even has some fire to her. I'm a woman with bite, so that's how I write my characters!

Jewelry and ballads are a great way to quell ruffled feathers and perhaps William has temporarily smoothed things over with Elizabeth. Nice chapter showing how each is struggling to find common ground. Look forward to more chapters.
Author's Response: Thanks Vette for the review and again for the banner!
