This is so good in the tension stakes. It's like a long, drawn-out tortuous wait that gives you time to really understand what is coming ..... and that's when special agent Buffy crumbles on the bed, in despair. He did it with momentary cruelty and the promise of violence and ..... and then just leaving her alone for so long. She knew, as she looked about the luxurious room and the beautiful gardens that it all belied her fate.

And that scene in the den? Oh, the irony of the 'good' side seeming just as bad as the villains.

Great.

Spike really likes taking Angel's girl. Buffy to survive her new environment after the beatings should realize that obeying Spike even though it goes against her nature, is the only solution she has for the moment. Is depriving her of food and water a means to keep her submissive? Don't know but she cannot bite the hand that feeds her in essence. Spike has given her an inkling of what her station is in his home, hate it or deny it, she is in for hard times if she breaks too easy then he will lose interest, if she fights him too hard, she places herself in harms way. Look forward to more.

You've got a bit of torturte going on outside the story - which is excellent, by the way. A great chapter with Buffy, the door opens and Spike enters the room ....... and finito. Please update soon.

What a dark and dire world Spike is existing in. His family makes the Manson family look cuddly in comparison. It will be interesting to see if Spike can avoid the pitfalls that ended Masters life and destroyed Angel's. As satisfying as revenge against Angel may be, Spike may only savor its taste briefly considering he is developing feelings for Buffy. Look forward to more chapters and where they lead.

A very promising start, with far more potential that those girlie Potentials ...... anyway, I love the awful menace right from the start and the fact that although Buffy is an innocent, she is neither a shrinking violet or there through no machinations of her own. She is undercover and trained, but she is still a white hat and therefore not innured to all the heinous shit that belongs in the environment she now founds herself captive.

really enjoyed this second chapter. I like Spike already feels remorse for his actions, that he is not as ruthless as he is showing to the others. I love the spitfire that is Buffy!

I really enjoyed this, but maybe as a suggestion, you could try being more specific in the description of what this story is about. Your current one is a tad bit unclear, which may be why people aren't reading it. Which believe me is a big mistake because it was wonderfully written and it appears that this will real be an original, great fic. You don't have to listen to me, it's just a suggestion. Either way, I'll keep reading.

Very interesting start. At first I was unsure if it was a vamp or human fic, with the reference to 'Masters', but now it's clear.

Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I'm going along the AU path with a mob/organised crime sort of theme. I love trying to make the powerful bad ass Spike into a white hat.
