She gets distracted, big ole' demon comes along, Spike gets poisoned, and look-e there, it was because Buffy distracted him... I swear, I'm gonna need relationship counselling because of these two!

If only! That whole year she thought she had to go it alone. What she didn't realize was that Spike was trying to stand by her side she just wouldn't let him. It could have been so much easier for her. Especially if she had told her friends what they had done earlier, she could have gotten a lot of that hurt and anger out sooner and her and Spike might have had a chance.
Author's Response: I know, she drove me insane that way. She kept grumbling about hating that she worked in the DMP and all the bills she had to pay, when Spike was clearly willing to help her, anything to make her feel better!
