Love this Joyce centered chapter. The way she came to terms with both Buffy's life and her love affair with Spike. And the little exchange, and how she's working to accept those bizarre quirks that come with this world. And love that she decided to cook at the end. Seems like a very "mom" thing to do. Great chapter.

And a great line, too. Love how Spike describes things from time to time. Glad our love birds are taking some time to recouperate. Great chapter.

Personally, I love Giles sense of timing her. Amazing how that works out.

"Buffy didn't know why "primitive" Angel was protective of her when "soulless" Angel had just wanted her dead, and realized she didn't particularly care."--I also think that is quite the interesting little thought there. Hope we delve into that a bit more. Great chapter.

"Please, like I was even worried about that." At her pointed look, he added, "Ok fine, maybe a little."--Such a sweet ittle interplay between them, and oh so Spike. Not to mention the amazingly cruel commentary he later unleashed on Angel, with his own back monologue about how that jealousy wasn't really him anymore. Love how he duped Angel. And there was that little bit about how he felt compelled to help Angel that made it seem like maybe, just maybe it wasn't magicks making him do it as much as a developed conscience from his time spent with Buffy. Not to mention the punchline of Buffy in the door way at the end. (Also kudos for Buffy's reaction to the bite. Love the spacey bit.) Super, amazingly wonderful chapter. Can't wait for the aftermath!

Naive old Giles. All of his reading surely had to recount tales of the pleasure of a bite. I am sure that image will well haunt him. I also find it very interesting that little bit about the magic or external force that prevented both Giles and Spike from hurting Angel. An interesting little turn, indeed. Great chapter.

That was an amazing chapter. So many wonderful, if not sad, events that I don't think I can even remember all of them to praise here. I love Spike describing the loving look in Buffy's eyes. I love how Spike explains to learned Giles what is going on with Angel, and how his soul is definitely. I love how everyone, including Xander seem aware of how profoundly idiotic he is being. And the description of Angel and his behavior, so graphic, the picture in my mind is just haunting. A brilliant display of storytelling.

Excellent updates (many chaps - sorry, I got behind). Such a wonderful tale and so original. So glad that Buffy isn't feeling any warm fuzzys for Angel. Love Spike taunting Angel to get him to attack and feed. more please.

Hehe, Dilbert....priceless!!! Loved this chapter!!! From beginning to end, it was full of details and very funny. Glad that Xander's trying to make an effort, but I wish Spike would just smack him one.

Wow, so Spike owns the mansion....I'd kick Angel out, but that's my loathing of Mr. Broods-Alot coming out. Can't wait for another!!!

Wow another update you're starting to spoil us now. It'll be interesting to see if Xander can keep his gob shut long enough to build any bridges with Buffy. I'm betting not but I suppose there is a chance he and Spike will bond over there mutual hatred of Angel. Really excellent chappie.
By the way I would have reviewed on Bloodshedverse but haven't been able to get on it for 3 days.

Awww, so glad to see Elaine and Rick again!! I adore them. Just the way they treat Spike, with familiarity and love, is enough to make me want to hug them both. I so hope Buffy and Spike will go back to New England. Maybe Joyce could move there with them. The rest of the scoobies can stay on the Hellmouth for all I care :)

I just love the relationship of Spike/Buffy and Elaine/Rick. They are so welcomed by Joyce and I can tell they are going no where. Spike and Buffy need he backup.

Angelus was very lucky that spike was stuck in a weelchair at the time or he would have finally beaten that son of a bitch for touchin his whore of a sire.
I rather like the new best friends of spike and buffy, it's clear that willow and xander still have a lot of growing up to do.

I love how Elaine keeps saying Giles' name wrong. It's hysterical.

Willow, you might be able to make up with Buffy if you get Xander to go away. They won't be able to really reconcile if they don't have some sharing time alone.

lol i love elaine. i love this story and am happy that u update so quicky. i really hope that they dont stay there and that they go back to their old town. also i hope that xander or anyone else doesnt put buffy in a tough place, its not fair for her and spike.please update as soon as u can, cant wiat to read more. thanx
