Well done for a first time writer! I was crying by the end but I tend to do that when the angst reaches a certain level. Seeing things from Buffy's POV was the right thing to do because you captured her stubbornness and her ability to mask the obvious feelings that she tends to hide behind. I tend to skim over lyrics when it's a song fic (I do that with most because I may not know/like the song), but I liked the theme of how it was too late to make it work for them. Bittersweet tale. Keep up with the writing.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for such a kind review! Have to admit, it made me squeal in delight and I really appreciate your time and comments! I am glad you picked up on the stubbornness that is Buffy, I swear some times I just wanted to scream at the tv screen lol
thanks again xx

She really is so screwed up that she can't tell when she is in love. She managed to deny it to herself so well that even Spike didn't believe she loved him. The fact that she got angry that he didn't come for her makes me laugh. Why would he? She had no right to be angry. If she really wanted him it was her turn to do the chasing. Spike chased after her for years. Now it's too late and part of me is happy she is in pain. She threw away someone who made themselves over completely to be someone she could love and she didn't see it until it was too late.
Author's Response: I have to admit, I really hate the 'self-righteous' side of Buffy's personality. I know Spike wasn't great all the time, but neither was she. Damn straight it's her turn to go running after him, I think he more than earned it! Great review, thanks so much for taking the time to post, I really appreciate it
xx

This story is beautifully heartbreaking and I am not at all ashamed to admit that I got misty eyed towards the end. trust Buffy to be the stubborn one, AGAIN, and not admit the truth until it was too late
Author's Response: her stubbornness really does bother me! but the fat that it bothered you too makes me think that I wrote it well :P lol
misty eyed is such a good thing to hear as a writer lol, means I am doing my job properly! thanks for taking the time to review, I really appreciate it!
