Great recovery, or suspense, I can't quite tell if you did what you did on purpose. Keeping her pregnant instead of having her actually give birth was perfect. I like it. Another view on the timing issue: is she far enough along that doctors would be able to discern the sex via sonogram? I assume doctors would sonogram (or some other kind of gram) the fetus to see if it is alright after the accident. This being so, I'm still a bit confused. I understand that doctors are often unable to tell the sex of a baby until the 4th or 5th month, at least. Maybe 3rd. Regardless, I do like this story.
