I don't know if I buy the idea that Spike has accepted Xander's kindness so quickly, but I really LIKE the idea that he did.Buffy won't really KILL Xander, will she?

I like it. I think the sweet Xander secondary motive is going to take a while for me to get used to, but it is definitely believable. Maybe if I were reading them for the first time together I wouldn't even have noticed.

I'm really happy you're continuing this story. I read it when you first posted it on blondiebear.com (i think) and i was disappointed when you didn't continue. It's a really good story. I love this chapter from the fighting to Buddy...it's great. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Oh I have been waiting for this update for a long time. I started reading this at VK and was wondering if it was going to be finished. I love it and this chap was fantastic. I liked the fighting and talking myself. I love some smut but you always need everything else to make it a good fic.

I really like the way you handles Buffy finding out about Xander's extra-curricular activities. Sounds to me just about how she really would have handled that situation. Can't wait to hear her grovel at Spike's feet to get him to stay. Although I imagine he'll cave pretty quickly. Sorry, I'm just a lover of angst. LoL! Can't wait for more!

I DO like the story! I especially like how you've written Xander. I think that in season 7, after the battle with The First and if Spike had survived, he would have grown to think of Spike as a friend. So this Xander isn't hard to buy at all, IMO. Good job!
