Now, Wesley is a vampire too, but Spike seems a bit mad at him. Hope we get to have a little refresher on that back story... though I can mostly imagine. At least Dru isn't after everyone anymore, but she is always an interesting element. Good fight scene with her and Buffy, btw. Hope the research paper goes well.

Author's Response: Well wesley is a vampire now because he was a human in real life. That's the logic I followed for anyone besides Buffy and Spike :D As for SPike being mad, it may not be as clear yet, but he was just really worried about Buffy. Wesley did nothing wrong, lol. I went back to read the first chapter again (because I thought I may have lost sight of the tale - just reading too many at once right now) and noticed that this is your first fic? Well then, WOW - you are BLOODY AMAZING! Now for the last Chapter - Glad you killed off at least one skank-ho (too bad it wasn't L but I understand we all need someone to hate!) Still puzzling over her tearing the page out of the book -- Is she in league with those 2-manipulators (known right now as merely pronouns)? Or did she take it cause she truly believes it might help B in some way - no matter, I look forward to more fun with the whole lot of them and know that in the end Buffy will learn what Spike has been going through in the "real" world and make everything Spuffy (sometimes I just get greedy and want all Spuffy all the time). I know it's my first but I try excrutiatingly hard to make it so it doesn't show through the whole fic, haha. As for the chapter, I know you can see the mystery about Leanna is still to be answered. And there will be Spuffy in the end for sure! Yes, I must admit I'm happy Dru is out of the picture...now if we could just lose Leanna! She brings angst and anger, but she's evil and I want her gone...far, far away! LOL And the confrontation between Buffy and Spike in the beginning was very nicely done- they're both so stubborn! Loved the update and good luck with your research paper!:)

Author's Response: Ya know, it's funny because originally I didn't have so much plot in the fic - it was just gonna be mainly Spike and Buffy. Soon I realized everyone wanted more about the plot, so I was like o shit, I need to think of something strong. A sleepless night later, I came up with it all :) Also, sorry I had to kill off Dru! I just couldn't write her any longer - as you can see I took a few lines from the show to cheat. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the angst and thanks for the review!!

Spike is acting more and more like canon Buffy... I like the idea that they've switched roles, but I miss the Spike who wears his heart on his sleeve, you know? Still, looking forward to more. :)

I was missing the Spuffyness too, and actually, this chapter was sort of the prep chapter for that stuff :) [Though if you take a look at the show, he doesn't always show his feelings - actually rather non-chalant with the exceptions of a few confession moments] Thanks for the review!

OMG!!! Didn't think the Dru thing would end so quickly, but what an ending! Damn that was great! Leanna is such a witch, and I do hate her, but she is integral. Just hope Buffy gets to kick her ass when the timing's right. Can't wait for more!!!

She's worse that Riley ever thought about being...at least riley didn't diss harmony and drusilla to spike, or angel and parker to Buffy; that's my only comparison...please, please have some good old fashioned payback's a bitch routine instore for her...in fact have Buffy tell her payback's a bitch!
