Um, yeah. I'd be lying if I told you I didn't sob my little eyes out on a couple of occasions during this story. SO glad your "Five Stories I like" post pointed me in this direction... I would NEVER have guessed this was a first fic otherwise, too. Stunningly developed.

I wasn't expecting a continuation of this, but am delighted to see one. Excellent description of Spike's limbo and his frustration and panic in it. Anya was very well written, and I really liked her observation that Spike could have closed the hellmouth ten minutes earlier! Her aside about the little red head honing in on Xander was also funny. This is thoughful and well written, I'm looking forward to the meeting ahead.
