Author's Response: Well, Locathah, I always envisioned that when Buffy ripped Parker's spine out, she dislodged his heart from his chest cavity, effectively dusting him. Just think of his as an inside out piñata… Now that’s a yummy visual for ya.

I love the fact that Xander appologized to Buffy and came to a place of peace with Spike. And that last bit about Giles being both horrified and outraged... pretty priceless. Wonderful chapter. Way to kick Glory's ass! Can't say I'm all that surprised that Buffy survived her staking, but I'm sure glad she did without needing any weird resurections. I also really hope that the binding spell does work. It would really suck if Glory came back somewhere. Though I also hope that it is that simple in their world. Never woud be in the Jossverse... but that is part of the reason we just love our fan fiction here. Really wonderful chapter. And definitely time for some catching up. ;)

Oh no! A cliffhanger. Curses... so involved in the story and then all of a sudden there were no more words. Now begs the question, since Buffy doesn't seem bothered by the same things as most vamps, what is a stake to the heart gonna do? Though that isn't exactly an easy thing for a slayer to recover from either. And now everyone knows about that Darla wild card, I can feel a lot of story left. Really exciting chapter. Really want to know how this fight ends. Update soon!

And as you said this story could fork off into so may different directions.
