Great update! Yeah, we need a little more girl power and Buffy too stand on her own two feet - she needs to realize she doesn't need a guy to feel whole. And Spike still has to do something more to convince me he's worthy of her - he still hasn't fully redeemed himself in my opinion and I hate how he just expects Buffy to run back to him. He needs to change his attitude and stop being so cocky (like when he says "you'll always love me") and start kissing some major butt - he needs to realize that he needs to earn her love again, not expect it automatically. Anyway, I really love this story and you're a great writer! Can't wait for more!

Hmm, Spike is a hypocrite.....still lying and keeping secrets.....that is no way to start to win back the girl. I wish Buffy had not accepted him so easily back into her life....he does not deserve this yet. When is he going to fix himself, for he is not a nice person, not really. He is still the selfish prick and has yet to prove to me he really even cares about Buffy, and not about the fact she is going on without him.....and it pisses him off. he needs to come to realize it will never be like it was, he fucked that up. But he could start trying to find out what they could build again.....and that involves trust, and he can't be trusted.....

He broke up with Dru?!?! It's about damn time! Now I can't wait to see how the Christmas Dance goes, that should be awesome!! =D

Hmmmm...To me, this story is very much an illustration of how William becomes Spike. I think of him like a rubberband that was stretched completely one way (William) and when that band snapped he went the extreme opposite way to Spike. Now it's about balancing out that tension in the band to a resting position...the balance of the two. That's how I view most changes. Change, for me anyway, usually equals a bit of angst. Buffy, on the other hand, seems to have gone back to her original state. She hasn't balanced between the two extremes she experienced. Perplexing. Emotionally she seems more balanced, more independent from William/Spike, although she still longs for him. I don't know what to make of this chapter, really. It was too short :) that's for sure! I do like that Spike isn't saying, btw, I broke up with Dru (we don't even really know if he has or not...he was standing beside her at her locker on Monday morning). He also seems to have laid off of Angelus a bit. I still hope the story isn't getting too close to having them back together yet. Regardless of what is currently going on with Buffy, William hurt her a LOT. I really do hope that she can have some vindication for everything that has happened. Dru deserves some of it, but IMO, Spike deserves the majority of it. Sure, Dru equals boyfriend stealing piece of crap, but Spike fell for it. That in and of itself is worse than anything Dru could have ever done. I just don't know what Spike can do to make things right. I'll quit thinking on it and leave that up to you two! Love the story!

Spike is still a creep. If he would just be honest everything would be MUCH better- I assume he and Dru broke up but why hasn't he mentioned that to Buffy? And i really hate the way Spike feels all smug about 'fixing' Buffy... what about him? Has he stopped lying? Cheating on people? Quit dying his hair or gone back to exactly how he was pre-Dru? There's such a double standard here... I really hope he realizes what a jerk he's been- and actually gives Buffy a reason to give him another chance.
