great premise, i absolutely love it :) my only nitpicky thing is that you seem to fluctuate in your use of past and present tense, not only between paragraphs and different sentences, but also within the same sentences, for example "He *hasn’t* even made her feel like she *was* welcome or that he *was* pleased..." I suggest you be aware of this coz it makes the story harder to read and detracts from your otherwise great writing.... please don't think im being mean or anything, im just a friendly reviewer trying to be helpful- my advice is here, use it or don't- i'll still keep reading this cool story :)
