I see Spike realized she is too young for him. I get the feeling there is going to be the letting go factor so she can grow up more and hopefully down the line she will come back to him. Another excellent chapter. Feel like they made a few steps in a good direction. Love the scene on the beach. I know it was cathartic for Buffy, but it was just...breathtaking...and spoke of what is hopefully to come as far as what they mean to one another.

I love that he's not letting her backtrack and how they communicate with one another. Also love Spike's statement about maybe she wasn't getting through his boundaries but not knocking them down. The crux of the whole story right there: that he needs her to get through his emotional issues from that horrible experience as much as she needs him to do the same. Thanks again for another amazing chapter. Loving and feeling this story more than anything I've read in months.

I like that they just snuggled (and I love that he cut off his mustache and gotee for her). I'm glad Spike came up with the idea to have Willow come over and get them to work together in person. Considering he's only got a week, I think he's made so great headway into helping Buffy cope and maybe finding some healing for himself as well during this process. GREAT UPDATE. wow yet again. i'm glad that spike got off i knew he would or at leasted hoped he would because he didn't do anything wrong. i found it very sad though that buffy's parents kepts so much information from her and to have her deal with this is going to be difficult for her. i can't wait for more and to see where this is going to lead to next. great update please update again very soon.

I wasn't questioning YOUR line of events (my personal experience has been different). I was just voicing a "fan" opinion. I know Spike didn't do anything wrong so of course I will think any action the police may take against him is wrong. I love this story (even with the major kleenex factor). I can't believe that Buffy wasn't made aware of all the facts in her case before she was released - now she's got so much more healing to go through than even she originally thought. Keep those wonderful updates coming!

Okay, I know I have to stop saying, 'Wow' in these reviews, but you're writing...it just sums it up so well. Love the way that this nightmare seems to have knocked down a few walls maybe a little faster than they might have fallen without anything at all happening, especially the part where they're all three sitting on the bench. You can just feel the warmth.

Okay, I know it must of looked bad, but if Buffy said he didn't do anything, those officers (especially his fellow officers) wouldn't of taken him away, in cuffs especially. I feel so bad for Buffy - every step she takes seems to bring her more pain. Hope things get better for them soon. They really need to heal (both of them have been traumatized by all that has happened in the last four years). GREAT TALE - but I"m keeping my kleenex handy! more please.
Author's Response: Thank you. I've tried to keep many of the events as factual as possible. In a domestic disturbance call, usually the battered will say that she/he is fine because they don't want more trouble when the batterer gets home. It's standard procedure to take the aggressive one in to give them time to cool off and hopefully for the other towant to press charges. It's all procedure.
