NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! why why why why??? oh god, I can't take it! it can't be over! please don't let them be over!!!

I loved determinate Buffy at the begin, on the run to find Spike - and she found it. "Spike Giles, get your ass out here now!" And Doyle was fun to. But the end? *sigh* I just hope Spike will get his courage back - as long it's still time.

normally, i love giles, but i really don't like him right now. buffy was right. why did they put all the 'blame' on spike? not that there's anything to blame on anyone, but they just attacked him and now there's this big ol' wedge between our favorite couple. not to mention the fact that buffy will probably never forgive giles or her mom. well, maybe her mom, but that'll be a long time coming. poor spike. i think they should have waited. he really should have talked it over with tara first. maybe she could have suggested a way to tell them without all the emotions getting in the way. we all need friends like doyle don't we? at least they both have someone there who will listen to them and not judge them. now, i'm kinda hoping xander is gay just so he can end up with doyle, though i'm not too sure about it if he's all like 'eww' when it comes to buffy and spike. okay, i'm rambling. waiting for more.

Well, I think it's everyone not thinking clearly....this is not a time to push Spike to make a decision when he is traumatized....Buffy, being young and not knowing there was a better way.....by saying, take tonight to calm down and we can talk more about it tomorrow...when everyone has had a chance to calm down and think and talk things out in a more calm and clear headed manner. I place the blame mostly on Giles and Joyce by not acting adult and resonable in giving Spike and Buffy a chance to explain. With as fragle as Spike's newly acquired self assurance starting to develope, this was rather harsh for him, more so then Buffy. He's lived longer with this belief then she has....he has lived his life in the shadows because of it and feels guilty it cost him a marriage and another woman's sanity because of it. I don't think Spike is a jerk, just a man who at a time of crisis has now been abandoned by his parents and the girl he loves. Either he will break or grow stronger from it. I think Buffy made a unresonable demand with giving him the ultimatum (spelling sucks) instead of giving him a chance to put a few things into perspective...it was he that was made to feel like he was the bad man by his parents....without them placing any blame on Buffy......I wonder how she would have handled it if Giles and Joyce accused her of taking advantage of his fragile time after this breakup with his wife and more or less made her feel like she'd done something wrong? Most likely a bit better then Spike, but then again she's not been living with this for as long as Spike. I think everyone has handled this poorly and you've do a great job with showing how anger, pain, fear, and insecurity can make those in a senstive situation react on those emotions instead of trying to see the whole picture and dealing with the situation at hand and seeing the big picture......

Oh no! That was way worse than I thought it was going to be. So very sad.

Spike is a stupid jerk. I am so mad at him right now for being such a coward. She had every right to tell him it was over with his current actions. I hope her spill makes him wise up and take the initiative to fix things with Buffy and with the parents. Also, I loved the Doyle and Xander parts of the chapter. I am so loving this story. Update soon please.

Maybe it's best for them not to be together for a while. Spike obviously has a lot of changing to go through before he could be in a relationship with anybody - let alone Buffy. He bails on a promise to Buffy the first chance he gets because it got rough for him. He told his "parents" this enormous news in the worse way possible - then, of course, they react horribly - but that might have been avoided if Spike did it in a different way. Spike creates this chaos and then bails on Buffy to deal with it herself. Not the actions of someone I would want to be in a relationship with. He really needs to get it together before he throws away his chance with Buffy.

Buffy did the right thing. I understand Spike's emotional baggage. But, really, what woman wants a wuss as their lover? He has to learn to grow up, be a man, and fight for what he wants and thinks is right. He doesn't deserve Buffy until he can do that. Buffy was willing to give him a night to get himself together, talk to her, or just lay low; but that wasn't what he wanted - he wanted to run away. I'm sure Buffy doesn't want to be a mommy to him. Maybe he can get it together now.

Crap, that is just SAD and heartbreaking and AWFUL... just AWFUL. Please make it better soon.

P.S. I think Buffy's reaction is pretty damn reasonable. I would be frustrated to! It would be hard to face the parents all alone when the person you love just wants to run and hide. Hell, when my sister would lock me out of the bathroom when we were in trouble to deal with the mom alone, that was frustrating and that was nothing!

oh gosh...she was the one not two chapters ago who wanted to tell their parent asap, and now when he said he wanted to and it blew up in their faces she says its too soon. And while I don't agree with the run-away plan and it is just a ploy to run away from his problems...I think Buffy can be miss-over dramatic. She won't stay and talk with him about everything, she immediately starts laying blame with how he left her (which he is at fault) and how he expects her to come up with all the anwsers (what solutions has she come up with so far?) and she calls for Doyle when she doesen't like his solution (which is stupid, his colution, not Doyle). She just doesen't want to sit and talk about what has happened and about how they both feel about it and how they are going to work it out. Its either now or nothing with her. Don't get me wrong here...I am attactched to this story and want to see Spike and Buffy over come all. So please update soon cause I gotta see what happens next.
