Do my eyes decieve!!!! A new chapter!!! I REALLY like this story and am glad to see them getting it back together some. I hope they can have a bit of carefree time now that they've decided to make a go of it. Wonder if they'll seek counciling?

Well, they've both taken responsibility for their actions, now what? Moving forward is going to be difficult, but it sounds like they're both willing. Spike's revelation about his father was an excellent opening for opening up to one another. Even with Buffy's last line, this chapter made their chances seem brighter.

nooo.....you can't leave it there. PLEASE more. Please. can't wait to see what you do next. i hope they forgive each other and themselves. great story.

Whoops! I wrote this review but accidentally put it under the first chapter. Silly me. Here it is: First off, I have to say I absolutely love this fic. Usually I despise angsty fics but I got addicted to this one real fast. I really think it plays well off of the idea that 'once you hit rock bottom the only way is up'. A lot of people don't like seeing the characters hit the bottom and abandon fics because of it. But this one is an exception, even when they were practically wanting to kill each other I kept wanting to read in hopes that they would resolve their problems and help each other back on their feet. So, Kudos for that. It was so sad though, I was crying so hard by the time I finished it. But it's nice to read a really good, well thought out fic that's not all sugar and fluff. Anyway, just wanted to say great job and keep up the good work. Adios.

This story was so well written and I must say I love everything about it.. Although in this last chapter, I do have some mixy feelings.. I know buffy felt horrible and disgusted with herself.. and she wanted to at least have some of the dignity that she had left.. why not let it go and try to move on on their separate way? maybe after their separate ways something else would bring them back together.. it's their destiny to be together. With all the damage that both have done, somthing in the story that;s not about them would be a good 'break' from all the angst between them.. that's just my two cents.. I guess I just love to read something that somehow reflects some of the 'real life' facts that people would do after something like this happened. But however you're going to take this story, I'm sure I'd love it no matter what.. all in all, write more please? Because this is one hell of a Spuffy story! Totally off the usuall SPuffyness you see around the net :D

Author's Response: Hmm have you been snaking a look at my plot outline..LOL Thanks Lilia I'm glad that you think this isn't the usual Spuffy I try to be as original as possible, even though it gets me into trouble sometimes.... ;)

I hate to say this but as much as I love this story, I don't know if I can keep reading :( So much angst that it's making my head hurt and my stomach ache!! I'm going to try to stick with it but it so hard seeing them hate each other so much. Plus Spike is being so unreasonable and it just seems so hopeless. Well maybe not completely hopeless...

I'm tending to agree that Spike is a bit of an ass. They both fucked up. Deal and move on. I don't think one is hurt more than the other. I do think Spike is being very unreasonable that his pain is more than Buffy's. Thanks for the update, though. I like your stories.

Author's Response: Thanks Raspy...yes the character has been a pain in my ass too....twisting and turning the fic into the opposite direction I originally intended but characters have away of getting their own way. I think that my muse has alot to answer for (or maybe it was Karbear57 bmuse corrupting mine again :))

I think Buffy was right before- they might never be friends. It sounds nice in theory, but they've lived through so much together already that hasn't been good. I don't blame him for wanting her to go and for them to split up and live their own lives apart again, but a part of me feels so bad for them:( You'll give us a happy ending down the road, right?
