When is this family going to get any more better? I can understand that Shanny isn't so keen with Spike and Buffy not looking after the twins at all times. But i feel there needs to be a lot talkage between the three of them to get over the past. Maybe Shanny is more stressed than ever because she's seeing her own daughter become like her when she was little and she is turning out like her mother. Or maybe the twins are getting more attention than she ever got from her parents.

Author's Response: I think it is very difficult for an outsider to imagine exactly how difficult it would be if you were the "normal" child of a Slayer and a Vampire! Role models you can never reach because of the way you are. And Buffy and Spike who love Shanny dearly, still don’t understand her. They’ve all got a lot to learn.

That's the thing with hearing both sides, huh? Buffy thought Shanny was rejecting Spike but when I heard Shanny's thoughts it seems it was in order not to hurt him with his cross... That's the way misunderstandings are starting.
Secret is out now; I wonder how Shanny will take it. Angel being there doesn't do Buffy and Spike good. It gets Spike jealous and Angel complaining about how he and Buffy lives? Still wanting Buffy? Seems so.
Ah well; bringing them all in the bubble will solve the problem only temporarily. But if they are there they should have no other possibility and starting to talk together. Well maybe they think of something else.... (like fighting on). But how will they get out? That will make things worse I fear...

Author's Response: Yes, all being together will force them to work and understand each other more - well, that’s what I hope, but hey, I’m only telling the story, what do I know!?

The lack of communication between Shanny and her parents is postively heartbreaking. :-( Can't wait to find out who Joyce was looking at, and if she goes through with her plan. Great chapter!
