Just started reading your story, waited until a few chapters were up so I could decide if I wanted to continue or not. I do want to continue and see just how these two polar opposites get on with blending their lives together. I'm really enjoying reading about "William" and how he has to re-learn life that is not revolving around his job like most men do.

Buffy on the other hand lives for the moment without any pretense at social proprieties. I was glad that she was not just a flighty airhead but someone who for all her appearance can see the reality of a situation in front of her. I say this when I read her assessment of William wanting a woman to be a convenience and drop onto his very scheduled and busy lap. I had to really admire your story when I read that. Most busy career men do want a woman (mostly trophy wife or mistress) to drop onto their lap and not really put much into substance or personality.

Well said more than I intended with my opinions which I reaserve the right to change down the road.

I am not sure how you may have wanted to portray Buffy here..To some she may had sounded judgemental. I DO think she could have had much more tact in what she said..but

I understand her frustration in trying to deal with William and the kind of person he is. Someone who bottles everything up inside and seems so cold, it sometimes takes harsh words to get through to them. I am catching the drift that Spike had to become this way for survival..(maybe?) The point is..the situation that he and Buffy are in with this sweet little girl..he is going to have to deal with Dru's death head on..and he is going to have to become much more sensitive and involved if he insist on raising Dru and Angel's child. That's not to say Buffy is perfect either. I can definatly see a few character flaws there as well. Great update guys!

great chapter. Glad he said what he said to her. Not everyone grieves in the same way. She needs to get that throught her head. Good job. Look forward to updates.

Buffy's self rightchous ( I know bad spelling) act is getting annoying. I get that they are both greiving, but what she seems to think is that if that others way of grieving is not recognizable to her, they are not grieving at all. He was a dick to leave her alone with the baby for a week so soon after Angel and Dru's death and right after they slept together, but to call him heartless was over the line. For someone who deems herself so intuitive, she hasn't gotten a clue as to who William is and why he acts the way he does, she just takes everything as face value.

So I am glad William proved her wrong and kinda put her in her place. I am liking this story though so far, I wouldn't be so passionate about character development if I wasn't, so please update soon!!

I really liked how William opened up to Buffy and the end of the chapter. Great update!

'The talk' indeed. Buffy tried to tell him what she did feel, and she did see what William felt. Poor William. Maybe it's harder for him because he can't show his feelings so easily.
