I think that the negative review you got was ridiculous, as you stated, it is AU and Riley always gave me the creeps. I think it is a great story, even though I don't like Buffy and Spike apart.

Seems to me that when you write an AU, the idea is that the characters are gonna react differently to certain situations... If not, then why write and AU at all?

Mebbe Spike isn't exactly as in the series, but hello! not vampire anymore. I suppose Human!Spike would react differently to certain things too.

Anyhoo, I like the story, I read the updates, and I get frustrated because I only have a chapter (maybe two or three if I'm not paying much attention to the page) to read in a go...

Author's Response: Maybe the person writting in didn't consider the fact that my story is very AU and that contributes to different reactions from the characters? So very sorry that I make you guys wait a week for updates. I really would like to write more, but without internet at home and this time of the year being the busiest for law enforcement...I tend to get a bit swamped from time to time. That was kind of a stupid review to receive. Did they also complain that Buffy isn't actually a famous singer and that Spike would burst into flames in the sunlight?

This is a very nice story and I think that you managed to stay true to their characters, considering this is AU and they would have experienced different things in their lives to make them have slightly different personalities.

I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here and I am looking forward to more Spuffiness.

Author's Response: I did try to make all of the characters as close to the show as possible. But, you are right...being human and/or nonSlayer will make the outcomes different and I think some people just haven't thought that idea through. Thank you so much for leaving a review!

I don't feel that about Spike at all. You've created a situation that is very plausible and certainly far more interesting to read than anything I could come up with - hence my reviewing your writing! You must be doing something right - you're on chapter 45 - and people are still reading and reviewing. Please keep up the good work and update as soon as you are able.

Still loving it. As for the negative comment, bollocks. You made perfectly well-rounded characters & that person just doesn't know a good thing if he or she were slapped in the face with it. I happen to love this fic & am anxious to see how it all comes to an eventual end. :) You have a rare talent of writing, something that I know I will never be good at. I commend you for it.
