That's totally new to Buffy, a Victorian Christmas with real Christmas candles. And she discovered that William has a crush on her. Uh-huh.. William picked the bracelet? Buffy's will to throw it back in his face didn't stay long... not ready to acknowledge that she maybe has a little crush on William too, huh?

I came across this story last night and I've been sneaking reading it at work and I have to say it is my current favorite story going. It has a sweetness to it and yet you know at some point she will go back to the present time. You have a great hold on me as one of your readers I am dying for the next update.

love it love it love it. love that last little encounter. read through this when it was on your homepage, which i hadn't been able to find recently. excited to see that you've updated as far as you have on ff.net. will the story be on track to be finished? it's been on my list of favorites for a long time. you're an exceptional writer, and your characterizations are wonderful.

Author's Response: Yes, I got tired of trying to maintain the website and since I don't really have a web designer's eye (or patience) I just decided to let it go. This story is definitely on track to be finished, but it is turning into a much longer story than originally intended (4 parts instead of 2) so it might be a while before the end. However, I am trying to update much more frequently. Glad you're enjoying it and thanks for reviewing. :)

Awwww William he try's so hard and Buffy doesn't know how to read him. It's so romantic watching them stumble into one another. I love this part and yet I am dying to see what happens between now and when she gets back to her own time and faces Spike and how he will handle it and her and see if he shares the same memories.

This is so touching the way they both dance around in a romance. I loved the bracelet part and how you just knew he gave it to her but didn't. This whole story is just so lovely and different. I like the fact William likes Buffy despite convention and in small ways he try's to be near her on the steps outside and wants so desperately to know he chose the bracelet for her himself but he cannot say it and only ever so often can he risk paying her a compliment. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next chapter.


Author's Response: I always felt from the scene in 'Fool For Love' that William must be a true romantic at heart, so that is how I decided to write him. It's so great that so many writers like him and the story. Thanks for reviewing. :)
