Isn't it amazing I cried more at this ending that I did throughout the story. I think I was just in so much shock to cry! Great ending! I was really hoping Gunn would find out about them. Brilliant story. You are extremely brave for tackling this!

Excellent story, incredible ending.
Don't feel like you were too harsh in your notes, so many people ignore warnings and then send nasty reviews, you have every right to be ...forceful?...about it.

Hey. Haven't reviewed till now, as honestly didn't know what to say. Won't say that it was easy reading. Won't say it wasn't painful. It was. It was also very well done.
Child abuse is heinous and it is deplorable that suffering such as this continues in modern day society. I wholeheartedly agree that much more needs to be done to protect the most vulnerable of our society: simply blaming social services when cases come to light for letting atrocities happen when they are understaffed, underfunded and unsupported is not enough.
My heart goes out to anyone who has ever suffered from this most evil of torments and I am in awe of those who show the resilience and strength to remold their lives and reclaim their power: such bravery and determination leaves me speechless.
Thank you for sharing. I'm sure it wasn't easy.
With love

Thank you so much for sharing this and your story with us. I am a social worker by trade. I work with children that have suffered at the hands of those that are suppose to love and cherish them, but are the worst monsters than any fable could concoct. Writing does purge the soul and helps in so many ways. I do love fluffy stories, but I really appreciate and gravitate towards those that have bite behind them. Thank you again for writing this story.

After all the angst and drama, the delightfully absurd way Gunn finds out the truth made me laugh, too. I love the detail of his girlfriend's obsession with Britich gossip brings this happy picture to his eyes and that the caption does nothing to reveal Buffy and Connor's identities to anyone but him.

So good to see the epilogue. Because it's good to know that things are well, not only guessing.
They are really happen now.
Thanks for sharing the story with us.

So different, but intense and very Spuffy. You delved deep with this one, and struck gold.
Well done.

I don't know if I have left feedback for this one before now but wanted to let you know I love your writing. I aim to read this one again as a lot has slipped my mind. That's what happens to me if I don't read something relatively all at once.

Although a difficult topic, you did a wonderful job with this enthralling story. It captivated me from the beginning. I'm sure it was hard on you to write it, but thank you.
My bestie and former roomie was a victim of incestuous child abuse. Her own dad would go into the 'loo w/her to molest her. He had a deal with her that she traded off herself to him to keep her younger sisters safe from his interest. Luckily, she is the best-adjusted person I've ever met to have lived thru such a thing. Amazingly, she still has contact with her dad, but her daughters do *not* visit there without her present.
You're right--- Child/Social Svcs *should* be vigilant for truly abusive situations. Very often, those they trust, those that we as a society think we should be able to trust, are the abusers: Dads,step-parents, boyfriends, uncles, older brothers, grandfathers, nurses, teachers, coaches... it could be anybody, yet at least in reports and the media there does often seem to be a pattern to the abuser. And not to condone the hyper-vigilance, jumping at shadows, that some Child-Svc agencies seem to end up doing. It just seems like they should be able to get their heads out of their collective asses and do something effectively, doesn't it?
I enjoyed your tale, and the ending was lovely. Again, thanks.
