Author's Response: The recipe is actually from a bed/breakfast in the town I live in. They are wonderful. From what I can tell, the strawberries are in the batter and just have sliced almonds sprinkled on the top. It was uber evil of Joyce to keep that stuff from Buffy, while I could see where she was coming from it was still wrong. Thanks so much for the review, babes!

How full of herself was she that she thought by taking away Buffys choice she was helping her! I have NEVER in my life been a Joyce fan, so I adore the fics where I don't have to feel bad about not liking her! haha. I'm not too sure why Spike didn't just go around Joyce tho, it seems like he could of tried harder if he really wanted to. He should of known she would do everything in her spiteful little power to keep him away from Buffy. Oh well, that would be a different story then, I spos, and I'm quite enjoying this one!

Loved it. God I hope I'm never that manipulative as a parent I would like to think I'd do things differently but she came clean in the end. Spike never did move on and never did forget Buffy. Really sad but hopefully not so sad now and surely Buffy only needs her ring so that she can return it to Riley. Congrats on nominations and good luck.
