Hee, jelous Spike. Hope Angel isn't a handful

AAAArgh! They're both so clueless! Makes me want to thwap them on the back of the head. And Spike is about to make it so much worse. Grrr.
It was nice to see Cordy and her infinite wisdom. Also, you intrigue me with this company ball thing.
Oh, if you have the time I'd love it if you posted early. I want to know what happens next!

Spike is a dummy, yes, it'll take him a bit to learn, but he will.... soon - though perhaps not soon enough for readers ,but he will. Angel being all charming and boyish while really just being on the prowl, trying to get to Buffy before Spike does puts my teeth on edge. Buffy thinks she can handle him, but he's slippery. It's no wonder Spike is anxious. Oh, Spike, getting in another girl's pants isn't going to drive Buffy from your mind. Silly idiot! I love your Cordelia. She's perceptive and pushy and very funny.

The slapstick routine with Angel and Spike and Buffy at the front door was hilarious. I love the image of that door slamming in Angel's face again and again and again.

Thanks for another tight chapter in this wildly entertaining story.

Author's Response: Yup - and that's the whole point of what Angelus is doing - ass that he is. As for Spike - he's very thick-headed, it's going to take him a bit before he wakes up - but not too much longer. YAY - I'm so glad you enjoyed the Angel/Spike/door scene - I saw that happening in my head so clearly that I had to write it that way, hee hee. Should you decide to post a bit early, I really wouldn't mind. I just have to wonder if Angelus is going to be as obviously awful as Parker was, or if it's going to take a while for his to worm his way close to her. And I always love Spike fighting with his roommate. And I love Cordy calling him out on it, too. Can't wait for more. Great chapter.

Nope, Angel is no Parker, Parker was an idiot, Angel is an ass, but a slippery ass. Hm, that sounded funny, slippery ass, meh. Oh you must be kind and update again this week! OMG, who knew Cordelia Chase had a perceptive cell in her body? Let alone two? Ok, how does SHE see what's going and Buffy doesn't? That's just evil. Pure, unadulterated EVIL! And Spike shagging again?? DAMN! Someone (namely YOU) should just lock them in a room for a week together and watch the fireworks ensue! Well Spike flirting with other girls won't help Spike's case to win Buffy over; he forgot what happened with / after Harmony. See... Buffy already reacted to it.
Buffy should go with her first feeling; Angel just wants to hunt her down because Spike does. I really hope she's clever enough not to make that error.
Ah I really hope it will only be his one date for Buffy and Angel. I don't need the fifth date and her sleeping with Angel (and him hurting her).

*sigh* Idiot Spike. Whoring around (at work) like Buffy named it, sleeping with another woman... he forgets how good that worked in the first place and what misery it brought him. Idiot.

Is Buffy mad? Surely a spontaneous lunch with very little probability of sex is way preferable to premeditated dinner with the huge probability of sex (certainly in Angel's mind). Is that one of Buffy's grey areas? Love the fact that Cordy can see what Spike wants even if he himself and Buffy can't. As brilliant as ever and yes please please please post mid-week so that I don't have to wait too long for more.

Yeah - it's one of her grey areas and she really wasn't thinking when she said yes, but she handles herself just fine - she's a lady after all.
