He beamed at her, and her heart just about stopped beating in her chest for a second before resuming its mad gallop the next when he pounced on her, lifting her from the chair and into his strong arms, twirling with her around the room.

Buffy could only hang onto him and giggle at his boyish antics, feeling lighter, happier than she’d felt in a long time.

Her bubbling laughter was music to his ears, the way she clung to him a balsam to his soul. And for the first time since this all started, he dared to believe she might be starting to feel for him at least a speck of what he already felt for her..............

It's official and the golden award for most sweetest moment goes to.......................MARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! That was soooo cute and yes it will last me for a week..................then again maybe not! You seriously need to get to writing more sweets! *hugs* I see an update but need more now! LOL! L8RZ!

wes' reaction to the Earl's arrival was stellar. His seething jealousy bodes well for Spike and Fred's plan to work soon. Here's hoping he doesn't go through a bunch more glassware before coming to his senses.

Buffy has finally just given in. She's smitten, too, and Spike is on the road to happily ever after. I'm sure Angel will show up, throwing a spanner in the works. It's wonderful watching this all unfold.

Poor Wes, but this will do him good ;) I loved the interaction between Buffy and Spike, and she seems to have forgotten about Angel, that's good :) I wonder what will happen when and if Angel gets back... Looking forward to read more! *hugs and kisses*

Ah, Buffy's given in, at least for that moment. William's definitely worming his way in. She'll hardly remember Angel's name by the time he shows up again.

Seems like Fred and Spike are about to get their heart's desire. With any luck, Wes and Buffy will come to realize that they may deny their feelings to their mind but not their hearts. Look forward to more chapters.

Tee hee! Poor Wes... he got what's coming to him. It's going to take a bit longer though - I know you want to write the fun that is Fred and Alasdair. :P

OMG - you know you're absolutely brilliant, right? I mean the pacing of each scene, the way you left cliffy after cliffy for each???? GAH - kept me on the edge of my seat quite literally. Buffy is sooooooooooooo falling hard, and right alongside of Spike. I don't think he anticiapted much beyond his fascination with her other than to possess her, but he's slowly realizing how much he actually cares for her. And he's so devilishly cute in this. And poor Wes - to be tormented so cruelly by Fred. But he did bring it on himself in a way. I only hope he realizes soon that pride vs love is no contest at all, and sometimes, a little healthy competition can prove what is real where the matters of the heart truly lie.
