This was another charming chapter in this wildly romantic, entertaining story. William's dogged pursuit is paying off, and it seems Buffy is well and truly smitten even if she won't quite define what she feels as love. At least she's finally acknowledged what she had with Angel was nothing more than infatuation.

Poor Wes, he's so awkward and unsure of himself. His jealousy and longing are written all over his face, but until he opens up to Winifred, she can't return his sentiments. It's frustrating, but very entertaining. Will setting them up on this buying trip was an inspiration. Here's hoping Wes finds his voice and declares himself before Winifred is old and gray.

Wes is right that winning Buffy's hand gambling is not going to make a flattering story, even if William was already in love with her. William had better come clean before Mr. Summers does it for him.

Good for Spike! I loved how he pushed Wesley in the right direction, and it was very thoughtful of him to arrange some alone time for him with Winifred. =)
And the Spuffy scene rocked! Great chapter!

WOO HOO - happiness all around for every character. Especially for Fred and Wes, one small step in the right direction can lead to soooooo much more, I'm rooting for them big time. I adored all the teasing and banter betwee B/S. What a blue eyed devil Spike is for teasing her with that near lip lock. Can I assume 'Later' means he'll kiss her later? Giggles and grins. And a big WHOOP of joy for Willow and Oz. Alwyas felt they belonged together. I like that Buffy says she trusts him, it's a big move on her part depite the small circumstance she said in in. And she isn't wrong in thinking a man has two faces - men, pfft. But in this case, she'll come to realize that won't be the case with her Duke, *sighs*. And Spike better confess how he won her hand before all he's working towards goes up in smoke - I have faith in your ability for him to do the right thing, *winks*. Such a lovely chapter with warm fuzzies all the way around, and looking forward to their ride in next chapter. Bravo carino - luv you dearly.

I agree, Willow and Oz belong together, I liked them quite a bit in the series, it just didn't make sense he'd go like that. And yes, Buffy saying she trusts Spike is a huge step on her part, I think she might surprise us in the few next chapters. Hahahahaha, yes, most men have 2 faces, there are a few exceptions here and there and just her luck her Duke is one of those exceptions.
