wonderful story, i totally luved it! i had always assumed that claiming would be an intimate private ritual but rubbing it in angel's nose was funny. i also really liked how you did 'her way' and 'his way' both having similar plots and different perspectives. great work!
Author's Response: I did 'His Way' first, then started to wonder how Buffy would have handled the same situation. 'Her Way' was the answer. I'm so glad you liked both of them!
I too usually see claiming as a private ritual and normally write it that way. But here I just couldn't help rubbing Angel's nose in it. Plus Spike really needed to have Buffy openly choose him and claim him first, after the way he had been treated by Angel on AtS.

Oh! Wow!!! This could definitely have a sequel! How does this affect Buffy's future? What happens with the fight with the first evil? Amazing story!!! :)
Author's Response: Thank you for liking it! I hadn't even thought of having a sequel. In the back of my mind, I was thinking that Spike would keep on fixing things. He'd prevent Joyce from dying, kill Ben before Glory ever became a threat, save Tara so that Willow would never go evil, and then either he or Buffy would rip the amulet off his head once the Turok-Han were wiped out and before the caverns and Sunnydale collapsed. It would be way too long for one story, but I might try it in pieces.

Great story. I loved that everything worked out so well. I couldn't help, but still feel bad for the original Buffy who still ends up losing Spike twice. Oh well - at least somewhere there is a fluffy ever after...

You are the best writer I've come across in a long time on here. I love the way you write the sexy bits; very much the turn on (and no excruciatingly silly words for parts of the body!).
The two alternative reality stories are particularly well wriiten (I really like Buffy giving Angel his marching orders; he was such a pillock!), but they're all great; keep up the good work - I'll have to re-read until you post something new!
