Buffy might have made a mistake by not telling Spike she didn't totally break up with Riley, but she certainly didn't deserve this! Looking forward to more!

I'm feeling really bad for Buffy right now. :( I get Spike had the best intentions in mind where Buffy was concerned, but eating with Dru in the same cafeteria as Buffy was just like an accident waiting to happen. Can't wait to find out what plays out between Buffy and Spike next. Great chapter!

Buffy did wrong by not being truthful to Spike. And I do agree that Spike should feel hurt about that. But Spike should have known that being with Dru is going to hurt Buffy. Why can Spike still talk to Dru when she dumped him and not Buffy. It just doesn't make sense. I feel so bad for Buffy. She loss her friends. They may not have been nice people but they were her friends for a long time. And now this thing with Spike. My heart aches for Buffy. I really hope that there isn't a lot of angst left. I also really want Buffy to kick Dru's ass. And please do not let Spike do something with Dru. Or I don't know if I will be able to forgive him.

okay, i don't get it, why was he so upset? how did she break his heart? if anything, i thought she would be pissed because he knew about riley cheating and never said anything, he has no reason to be upset. buffy did break up with riley, whether she said they were on a break or not, that was still a break up, and spike should have known that she wouldn't have gone back to him. i feel like the angst was just forced in this chapter, it doesn't seem like it really belonged, but maybe that's just me.

Author's Response: Well, this chapter was loosely based on something that happened to me a while back. With Spikes point of view, I was just trying to convey the dissapointment of having her lie to him even after he thought he had gotten her to basically change her ways. Perhaps I should consider re-wording to get the point across. And with the whole break/break up thing... where I live a break doesnt mean the same thing as breaking up. A break would just be like 'we need to stop spending so much time together or we'll get sick of each other, but you're still my boyfriend.' Sorry if I confuse you. Hopefully you'll enjoy the rest of the story. =)

That was really a heart breaking chapter. Although, I agree with Spike. Buffy should have told Spike the truth instead of saying that they broke up for good. I feel bad for Spike especially reading the line "you broke my heart Buffy" That made me cry. But I feel bad for Buffy too. She loves him so much. She was planning on ending it with Riley for good when he came back. My heart breaks for them both. I wonder how Buffy is going to get her Spike back. :)
But I was happy to see Riley get hit a few times. He deserves it so.

Awe :) Loved the teasing.
So sweet, the epiphany. But now there's still the fact of being only on a taking a break with Riley / a one sided break up. In theory Riley shouldn't complain because he was cheating all the time... but I don't think he'll take this easy, loosing a 'trophy'.
