Ilona did flirt with Spike, didn't she? So I can believe her wanting to help him, particularly when she knows it'll get under Angel's skin. Odd to see the Immortal portrayed as a nice guy. I'm a bit confused about the Hellmouth confusion. Surely W&H would know the action was all at Cleveland and send the plane there even if Spike assumed they meant the Sunnydale one? Angel is just digging himself in deeper isn't he?

Author's Response: Re: the Hellmouth confusion - Angel contacted the Immortal and is using him let Spike believe that Buffy is at the Calif. hellmouth. And yes, that gets him in even deeper.

Wow, didn't expect the twist: So the Immortal is there to help? Even Ilona... too bad that again Spike is on the wrong way, too late. But he's right about Angel being involved in his bad luck regarding finding Buffy.

Wow! This story is soo good. But so frustrating at the same time. Damn Angel. He's a bastard and Giles is being an idiot. I really hope Spike finds Buffy soon. I can't wait to see what that's like. Oh, and I'm glad the Immortal's helping out. At least someone's on Spike's side.

*waves* I must confess I run ahead and read all the chapters of the story because TSR was slow. I'm just waiting for your posts. Enjoyed the read a lot and the twist you used (at the end of the story). To the chapter:

Darn... Spike was right; Angel set the trap. Mean if Giles takes Buffy (and Dawn) back to England now. Spike is on a scavenger hunt (I was searching for another word - thought of goose hunt first - but can't find it yet - on a hunt without finding out something).
Buffy has no clue that Giles isn't honest with her; she wouldn't be pleased.
I fear Angel will get to know what Spike does in Rome at W&H. Guess he has a spy there too.

So Buffy really fell for it; with her back in the states no wonder Spike can't find her. And even is on the wrong track again (Italy).
At last Spike isn't far off that Angel is responsible for his problems. ;)

this is shaping up to be a real interesting story, Giles is stupid for falling into angel's plan, i just hope you don't make us wait to long for a reunion although from the title of this story I think most of it is going to be Spike chasing Buffy across the globe, i hope not . One thing i do hope for is at the end of the fic I hope you have Buffy and Spike beat the living ( or undead) daylights out of that moronic big oaf of a forehead Angel , i can't stand him, and would love a good smackdown to his smug face.

I didn't come around to read yet and will gladly delete the old LJ memories now.

~ Love the start. Seems indeed better that Spike didn't ask Angel for details. It sounds as if Angel would have send him into the wrong direction anyway.
