Your attention to detail is painting a vivid picture of this race of shape shifters. Their civilization is fascinating, and I love the unrepentant son being sent off to stud.

Anya finally getting her fill of Xander was believable. In this story he is absolutely irrational. His bitching and hysterics are going to get the gang killed if he doesn't gain some control.

Buffy giving her blood to Spike was sensuous and delightful. Is Buffy going to become addicted like Riley? That's probably one of the many excuses she'll use to explain away this growing attraction.

Author's Response: Thank you for liking the detail! Writing believable new worlds is something I really want to do and I'm so glad you think I am. This story came about because I accidentally watched Paul Shrader's 1982 "Cat People" and thought: What if the cats were intelligent? The whole story just leaped to mind. I pushed Xander's irrational fear of demons here because it was essential to the Anya part of the story. I'm so glad you weren't upset or offended by it!

Mmmm so this is only the first step. There are other peoples between them and their goal. Only because the first ones were good to them it doesn't mean that the others will be peaceable too.

Had to giggle too when said Kiharn said Time for the boy to have his own sons. That will teach him.
Just imagine how Xander would react if he feared he would become a werepanther too. Totally in panic. *gg*
Buffy though seems to be able to change her attitude, to learn something. Like Serrai said, only right to give Spike some blood when he got hurt because of her. Hot too :)
And even if she fled, at last she acknowledged that she don't want to lose Spike.

I love this story so much ! Another brilliant chappie. I'm loving this world ...so interesting. Shapeshifters , cool !Xander is a complete idiotic bigot and is not changing one bit ! GO ANYA!! The Spufyness is really starting now..that was one hot bite and an even hotter kiss.

Finally, a real breakthrough! Though if I know Buffy, it's three steps forward, two steps back. I have to say I love your development of this other world. It's intricate and realistic, and I think the Quenya and Diarchy would be interesting even without our favorite characters ^_^ Can't wait to see what's next!
