Buffy's learning acceptance too, and slowly recognising how important Spike has become to her. "Need you with me. Don’t want to lose you.” Oh yeah... Xander's not going to be happy about that either...

Seems Buffy is already a bit 'bending'. At last she started to think. Xander is the only one that isn't happy about how things are developing, neither Spike becoming a part of the team, nor Anya's freedom. Instead of being happy for her like he should.
Guessed about the dragons but the big cat is far more dangerous for them if they can't leave the road and don't have the right weapons.
But wearing a collar. Pets indeed.
Ah... at last the cats won't be a problem now. Hopefully this twist will be good for them in the end.
Hehe... (Serrai argument that Spike got the wound for them and they had to give him blood. True.)
And Buffy found out that she's jealous... but she's not ready to confess to herself that's the feeling she has, being angry. And having a rival in Serrai. I hope she (Buffy) will get her head out of the sand (out of denial) before it's too late and she will feel only regrets.

What an intriguing character you've created in Lioslath. His observations of the gang and their dynamic was entertaining and enlightening. I loved this capture of Buffy: "There are walls all around you. You exist within them, folding yourself to fit that small space. How can you breathe, constricted like that, with so little air?" Here's hoping she takes his advice and becomes more flexible and less judgmental. At least she's trying.

Had to check the chapter out today :)
Interesting twist in this chapter; so they are found out now. At last this man (Lioslath) sounds as if he can help them (and that's way better then trying to kill them all).
Mmmm but things got a bit more difficult with the gate destroyed. *wonders if we'll meet dragons again (not really though, Lioslath didn't knew of them)*
Loved the support of Anya, showing her her strength. Xander didn't like it. But Anya was like Buffy when she thought it's her fault that something is wrong (reminded me because Buffy and her men leaving her, starting with her father).
Too bad they won't have Lioslath around when they are gone. He's good, organizing and all. And judging / helping too (Willow).
Seems his works did make Buffy think a bit (that can never hurt, huh?)

God I really love this story! Another excellent chappie,hon :) It's good that Buffy and Spike had a kinda normal talk, but she's still being a bitch and was jealous of Spike with the maids but just won't admit it..

Oh the UST between Spike and Buffy is really heating up !!

Author's Response: Hang in there. This is Buffy from most of Season 5, blaming Spike for exposing Riley and constantly giving him a hard time. But she's got a few lessons coming up!
