*dreamy sigh* Spike proved what a great heart he has again by helping Joyce. Poor Buffy, that scene with her dad took a lot out of her emotionally and physically. But she has Spike to take care of her. I was worried that she might lash out at Spike because he urged her to get closure... I hope she doesn't! Despite the badness, Buffy really did need to confront her dad in order to move on with her life - with Spike :)

Ouch! I knew they weren't doing well with her before she left, but to see them living in such conditions is kind of a very twisted justice. Not with the abuse though. When you have money, your anger can be placated with things/people/situations you can buy. I know, that when you don't have money, people take their anger out on whatever is within their reach. Well written.
