Spike/Dru isn't my favorite but it's better to bear when Buffy and Spike aren't together yet. And this scene only showed Spike getting hurt again (rejected, the mating).
And Buffy, this sounds like a planned attack. Hard for Buffy too avoid, there where simply too much of them.

Author's Response: LOL Yeah you're right-they are up at different time, and I promise you the happy ending...well, at least you can be sure I won't kill off Buffy or Spike! lol Sorry for the whole Spike/Dru ordeal but as you cleverly noticed it only ended up with Spike being hurt by Dru...like he always does, poor guy. And it was a planned attack, even Buffy couldn't fight off that many! Thanks for reviewing, you make my day!!! :)

I think this will be a terrific piece - I only wish that Spike had not tried to claim (or "mine ') Dru; that he would not have had those feelings until later for Buffy - he would not know what that even meant - but PLEASE DO CONTINUE!!

Author's Response: We always knew Spike loved Dru and was truly devoted to her, hed do anything for her...before he met Buffy that is and realized that what he felt for Dru was nothing but a shadow of what he felt for Buffy. He will realize his mistake sooner rather than later, no worries! :) I have already written next chapter, it just needs some polishing. Thank you for reviewing!!! :)
