Spike gave it his best try to fool the witch into thinking that he wanted to team up with her. Too bad Buffy thought he was being serious. Now, she has hurt his feelings and they are bickering like always. I want to smack them both and tell them to get over it because they need to work together. Thanks again for another wonderful chapter, PB. But there is a part of me that is a little sad that you are updating so often. I miss whipping you. But I still have my whip ready if you ever get out of line. : )

Heehee this is so much fun. Poor Spike, Buffy's being a bit dense if she can't see he was just trying to help. Although I guess at this point in time, her attitude towards him would be like this.

Author's Response: Poor Spike can't get a break. He tries to use his vampy and masculine wiles to get them out of a jam, and he gets yelled at for it lol Buffy was just waiting for a bit of the old Spike to come through (she's uncomfortable with a more morally ambiguous Spike who doesn't fit into a specific category), so she immediately leapt to the wrong conclusion about his motives.

It won't be easy for them to get out of the mess they're in, some bad times are ahead for them. They'll need to pull together and stop with the crankiness :)

Author's Response: There won't be an easy or fast solution to their troubles. Spike and Buffy will need to learn to cut each other some slack and show a united front. Can they manage to do that? Stick with me and find out :D

Yeah an update! Wow, I totally got a sense of hopelessness. Sounds like it's impossible for them to get out, but I think it has more to do with 'feelings' they started to feel earlier before the childish crap between them.
Just a thought and yeah vamps are something to be afraid of and of course you will want to slay them because they want your blood...but can you blame them? That's like telling us we can't have water or food.
This is one of the many things I couldn't stand about Buffy 'canon-wise'. I get the whole 'Slayer' deal and all, but looking at it at a broader aspect one would question why?
Anywho...Reason for going all philisophical is this...She deserves Spike's silent treatment. No not because Spike is yummy, sexy, please wipe the drool in aisle 1 please - oh don't forget the rest of the store too, hunk of a man...because he is changing! SHE is rather hypocritical and SHE took him in! What the hell is up with that...He is dying from hunger then kill him...but then we wouldn't have Spuffy.
She totally deserves it. She needs to totally get the stick out of her ass!
Now as for him...I may lurve *pant* him but he did sound rather convincing unless we read his 'mind' thoughts - which we did lol...Buffy didn't, but considering he had been changing she should have given him eht benefit of the doubt instead of thought of the worst.
I am thinking this trip through Fairy World (lol) is for them to communicate, see another side to one another, work together, and get the HELL OUT OF DENILE! LOL Love the update PB!

I've thought the same exact thing about vamps needing blood. It's like telling a wolf it can't have red meat. That's what they need to survive. If vampires were better behaved, maybe some kind of non-killing blood exchange could be worked out between them and humans lol And, you're right about their bickering being about feelings they're struggling with, they're just not aware of it yet lol

Buffy does deserve being given the cold shoulder (more like room temperature shoulder heehee) by Spike. He was just trying to save both their asses, and Buffy should have seen that or at least reserved judgment. There will be time for them to try to understand each other a little better lol
