Wow, really detailed on the banquet that they were eating, really well done and quite interesting too. I've read a lot of historical fiction and you've really captured the right tone for this story. I'm glad that Spike has realised that Buffy is the one for him, and he will try to convince the King (and Buffy) that they should be together. However, should be a long road ahead - otherwise there'd be no fun! Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: Thank you Nikki. When I write, I have a certain tone and setting laid out in my mind. Based on that, I do research accordingly. I know that it won't be perfect, but I really want to make it an interesting and as much as I can, an accurate read. More will be coming soon!

I love how she told him that if he needed forgiveness for his nature to go see a priest. That was too too good.

Author's Response: I laughed when I wrote that line. I can so picture Buffy, well Elizabeth, looking at him and flat out snuffing him with those words. The look on his face, in my mind...priceless!

William's mouth got the better of him; now he lost terrain he has won with Elizabeth. Will be hard to win this back and change Elizabeth's mind I fear.

Actions speak louder than words, seems like his apology has fallen on deaf ears due to his late visitation and it should have happened when they were still dining for all to see his considerations for the ladies present. It must be love that William is feeling if he is willing to risk all to gain his one true love. Look forward to more.

True, he should have apologized in front of everyone, but you understand a man's pride, especially in those times, completely unheard of for them to apologize to a WOMAN. Shutter at the thought.
