At least Lilah gave her a chance to say good bye. But, damn, this is not going to be easy. Hopefully D'hoffryn will have something somewhat informative to say. Maybe he can unwittingly point her in a good direction. Update soon.

Author's Response: Hi BuffyRat! Yeah, I think Lilah did actually *try* to help her, but just couldn't get the magic reversed ... not so much because she wanted to help Buffy/Spike but to spite Angel. We'll soon see if anyone can help her now... Thanks so much for reading and stopping in! Love hearing from you! -P4S 2011.06.02

This was the saddest chapter. I can't believe Spike burned up. You have completely destroyed Buffy and Spike. I hope this is as bad as it gets. I am ready for something good to happen. Please update soon. My heart is broken.

Author's Response: Hi Bridget! Actually, I think this may not be as sad as it gets ... Buffy's whole mission changes to vengeance fueled by hate and anger. Hang in there and keep the tissues handy for a while longer! Thanks so much for reading and stopping in here! Love hearing from you! -P4S 2011.06.02

This was very hard for Buffy. When Spike lost his soul before he didn't react like this. I'm assumeing that's because the trials damaged him and/or an effect off the wish. Next step should be D'Hoffryn, an interesting character, he can be very sadistic but also nearly good.

Author's Response: Hi Magnus! You know, I'm pretty sure you've been buying my muse lager or whiskey or something to get him to tell you what's coming next! You're right, the next step will be D'Hoffryn ... we'll see what he has to say, you never know with him. He could go either way. My theory on Spike's soul: Somehow, even when he was turned, a part of William's soul remained ... perhaps buried, but still there - a glimmer. He was so different than other vampires in that regard (like trying to save his mother rather than killing her and his emotional pain when that backfired), so even when Angelus has Spike's soul removed, that small bit was still there for Buffy to reach. The trails have driven even that little sliver of a soul deep into hiding, so deep that not even she can reach it. I'll actually talk about this later (much later), but since you touched on it, I thought I'd give you a preview of my theory on Spike and his soul. William, IMO, was stronger than he (or others) gave himself credit for - he had a warrior's soul all along - Dru could see it.

Thanks so much for reading and stopping in here, even though you've guessed my next move numerous times... :( You're getting way to friendly with my muse, me thinks! I hope I can surprise you in here somewhere! Thanks again! Love hearing from you! -P4S 2011.05.29

Starts throwing darts at your evil muse for all this angst! So Cecily took her life for her own, now that took planning! Just wonder who the human was that made the wish for her. Scratches head on who hated either Buffy or Spike that much to change reality. Whoever did must have a better reality in this current time line. Buffy no longer has anything to lose, no more leverage over her, everything she held dear with the exception of Dawn has been taken away. That means that she can be as fearless and brutal as she wishes to be. As Angelus once asked her "Now that's everything, huh? No weapons... No friends... No hope. Take all that away... and what's left?" Buffy: "Me." Hopefully this crisis has awoken a sleeping giant within Buffy giving her the resolve and strength to bring the walls of the Halley’s wish tumbling down. Looking at spells used on the show two come to mind to use in Buffy’s case, “Summon Wish Demon” the spell used to summon Anyanka in the episode “The Wish”. The other spell “tirer la couture – pull the curtain back” a trance to see spells. Is a vengeance wish a spell? Either way, a witch is a must to help Buffy to gain back her real life. Throws more darts and glares at your muse!

Author's Response: **Handsome, evil muse ducks darts - smirks at you - HA! you missed!** I think that Buffy's come to the conclusion that Hallie is human and made the wish to one of her vengeance demon friends, so she didn't have to find someone else to make the wish, she could make it to her specifications - perfectly and for utmost pain and suffering inflicted on Spike and Buffy. Yep, except for Dawn, Buffy has nothing now - just 'me' and that will come into play soon. She will be using some spells as you suggested, but first she has to get some help casting them and finding the correct spells ... where, oh where will she find help like that??

Thanks so much for stopping in ... even with the darts! heehee! Sorry, the angst is not over yet! keep those darts handy! {{hugs}} -P4S 2011.05.29
