What a wonderful chapter. So great to see the connection that Bess and Buffy have, the way Buffy stepped up being the mum we know and love. I`m really looking forward to see their relationship develop and how the Summers family will welcome Bess, and the extended family as well. I feel so sorry for her.

Keep up the excellent storywriting, it`s like I`m watching the story instead of reading.

Just catching up with the updates. First, let me say there is no need to thank me for the rec. I really liked seeing Buffy's slayer side and hope to see more of her in the future. I think her life would be easier if she could come to better terms with her. Looking forward to the next update, soon I hope.

Bess discovering the wonders of the modern world enjoying the simple pleasure of hot running water and a soft bed is a freedom denied to her for far too long. She really does need to go out in the sun and just be happy for a change. Any chance of making another gem for Spike to wear? I’m sure that Willow and Tara are up to the task of mojo’ing an invincible stone or just plucking the ring from the other dimension where Spike shanshued into a human being. That Spike doesn’t need it anymore and for all their suffering, one of the witches should be able to send Faith to procure the ring for Spike. The watchers council headquarters could be re-located to California and let Wes run the London branch. The demon in Buffy showing itself may be a result of the scythe and the unborn child also got a dose of the magic from the weapon. Hands Buffy a candy bar for her sweet-tooth craving, does she ever crave anything weird while pregnant? Enough to gross out Spike who eats wheat-a-bix and burba weed in his blood. Look forward to the see where you take the story next.

Author's Response: Hi Vette! Willow will work on finding out how to conjure another Gem. Since the two other dimensions that they are familiar with stemmed from the post NFA, or the post-Chosen 'evil Joss Universe' ... the Gem was destroyed by Angel long ago. I believe you know my muse well enough to know that he's not just gonna drop another Gem in their lap ... {{cue evil laugh track}} Poor Spike and Buffy ... {{cuddles them}}

Glad you enjoyed the update and Bess' reaction to simple pleasures. As far as relocating ... I do think someone will propose that very soon. Giles will be aghast! heehee! I'll have to check on some strange cravings for her that may even squick Spike ... great idea that I hadn't thought of! :) My muse just keeps going and going with this story, I really hope his prattling doesn't turn boring with no blood and guts to spice it up.
