A well made chapter but of course there's trouble for them in it.

Author's Response: Hi Magnus! Yeah ... if it's not one thing, it's ten others for them... and more on the way! Thanks for reading and stopping in! -p4s 2011.12.14

The financial apocalypse is shaking the foundation of their home out from under their feet. The mansion is pretty much termites holding hands together, one good sneeze and the whole house of cards comes tumbling down around them. For all the good that Spike and Buffy have done by keeping the demons from taking over the town, you’d think that they could be paid back by the town folk by having the local contractors fix their home; the retailers replace the damaged furniture and waive the debt of the appliances. The bank (evil Inc. next to Wolfram and Hart) could grow a heart and lower their interest rate while at the same time help establish a collection to help pay off their debts. But that only happens in a perfect world where everyone knows of demons and slayers get treated with celebrity status and perks to keep their town safe. Things are looking so bad, that the Weckerly’s may end up moving into the blue bomber to live in or take up residence in a crypt while they file for bankruptcy. Hands your muse a couple of bucks to start a fund to help the family get back on its financial feet.

Author's Response: Hi Vette! My muse is happy to take your pretty green money - ta ever so! heehee! Yeah, it would be nice if they could be treated like rock stars or heroes and get special treatment - heck, they don't even get a discount at Denny's! At least the bank did give Buffy the loan ... better than not being able to fix the house at all. Hopefully one or both of them will have some ideas to get them out of this pit of debt. A very difficult thing to manage... {hugs} -p4s 2011.12.14

Are we absolutely certain there's not a vengence wish at work here? Why do our heros have to suffer so? Thanks for the quick update. More soon please.

Author's Response: LOL! Well ... I guess anything's possible, but I think it's just life. In my experience, when things starting going to hell ... they just keep piling up, one thing after another, it seems. Our heroes have to suffer because my muse is evil ... he makes them pay for any happy they get ... :P Will try to have another chapter Sunday for you! Thanks, Melly! Love hearing from you! -p4s 2011.12.09
