Glad our Buffy got a back bone and kicked out her father. Some relationships are just toxic, not got to come of them. Hank Summers is clearly one of these. Love the token gift to Bess, too. Maybe she will hold onto the tupperware. :)

Author's Response: heehee! We can hope she'll realize the value of Tupperware! LOL! Hank is every horrid relative and 'friend' I've ever known rolled into one. I honestly had fun writing him and Buffy turning into a ten-year old in his presence, as father's can sometimes do to daughters, and then finding her worth and strength and kicking him out. It was a fun chapter to write, actually - glad you liked. {hugs} -p4s 2012.01.04

Thanksgiving, it brings out the best and the worst features in people. The best would be Tara (where was she when Bess went all “rebel without a cause” anyway?). Hank thought that his DNA contribution to Buffy was enough for him to enter her life and demean it. HOW DARE HE! Hank is literally the turkey for the Weckerly’s Thanksgiving. Anya sure gave him a good talking to though; don’t you just love her at those times? Angelus at his worse didn’t inflict the verbal damage that Hank did in the little time he made his unwelcomed presence known. Loved the “dressing down” Buffy and Spike gave Hank. Your muse is evil! I know every family has a Hank in it, which for some reason never chokes on a turkey bone but your muse had to remind us all!

Author's Response: Hi Vette! Unfortunately Buffy and Spike didn't consult Tara when they brought Bess home and then, when they knew that something was horribly wrong, it was a little late. I do love writing Anya when you can just get all those totally true digs in!! She's so fun!! Yes, every family has a Hank - he is perhaps every horrible 'friend' and relative I've ever known wrapped up into one horrid creature. I have to admit that I had a lot of fun writing his evil-ness and even more fun when Buffy finally came to her senses and tossed him out. Parents can reduce their kids to children, it seems, at will - no matter how old. I know my dad could always do that to me. Thank goodness he wasn't like Hank! heehee! {hugs} -p4s 2012.01.04

When I rad the line in your notes about "vanquishing old ghosts" then I though her father but I didn' thought about him before. So far he's totally horrible. I keep thinking is he a robot or demon sent to torment them? He seems to badto be real. Anyway I will read the next part now.

Author's Response: Hi magnus! Yeah, Hank was pretty bad - I think I rolled every vile relative and acquiantance I've ever known into him ... Oh, well, he deserves to be a villian after how he ran out on them all. And no, sorry not a robot or a demon - --- heehee! -p4s 2011.12.31

Yipeee!!! Buffy slayed her father (so to speak) and past time too!!

Author's Response: Hi Melly! Yeah, too bad she had to let him trod on her heart and her family for a while before finding her inner Slayer. I just know we all have *someone* in our lives like that - Hank was perhaps a combo of ALL the worst relatives *ever* all rolled into one. My beta said it reminded her of why they don't spend Christmas at her in-laws ... LOL! Thanks much - will have more soon! -p4s 2011.12.29
