Glad our little girl finally received some closure. Sure seems that Wanda made the right decision to stay and help her family out all these years. Sure got a lot of family, and one guardian cat. :) Hope Bess is going back towards Sunnydale. Update soon!

Author's Response: Hi BuffyRat! Yes, I think that she really needed to close that door so she could see ahead of her rather than always wishing she could just go back. Bess is headed back west, but she's gonna make a pit stop on the way ... we will check back with her in a bit. Thanks so much for reading and always stopping in! -p4s 2012.01.04

Journey’s end to her past to pave the way to a new one in her present, love the symbolism of burning the home she grew up in to release her from her past. Really enjoyed this chapter, your muse is killing us with pain and then kindness, he is evil! When Spike and Buffy referred to Bess as “not letting the cat out”….who would’ve thought that she’d come back with a kitten. Just don’t let Clem or Mr. Shark get a hold of Angelpie or else she’ll be used at a poker game. I hope your muse doesn’t read this cause I don’t need to give him any more evil ideas. What’s next? Bess runs into Hank on her way back and Angelpie attacks him? I can only hope!

Author's Response: LOL!!!!!! I will try to keep my evil muse from offering Angelpie up as ante in the poker games! It might be funny for Clem to see her get a very bad idea! LOL! Poor Clem - he's such a sweetie! Glad you liked the chapter - it was one of my favorites. Right up there with one in the very first story when Joyce died. I know - I'm twisted, I love crying over someone else's pain - not so much my own, however! heehee! Thanks so much, Vette! Got more on the way! -p4s 2012.01.04

A very bittersweet chapter. Things are lost in time but memories remains. Bess has made peace with her past and can now try to live in the now. I like how she took a piece of her old home to carry the memories with her.

Author's Response: Hi Magnus! Yeah, I think bittersweet sums it up perfectly. I think she'll be able to move on now, accept Buffy and Spike and know that they aren't trying to force her into a life she doesn't want, but only try to help her find where she fits. I like her taking the brick too - that's a real-life experience of my own that I got to slide in there. Its nice to have something tangible at times so you can touch the past and it doesn't seem so far away. Thanks so much for reading and stopping in, as always! -p4s 2012.01.04

Loved! Loved! Loved this chapter! I'm so glad Wanda was able to help Bess break down those walls. And she helped Angelpie too! I think (and hope) that Angelpie is destined for great things. Thanks for such a lovely, touching update. More soon please.

Author's Response: Thanks so much, Melly! My muse has been whispering this chapter to me for ... well, probably months. I'm so glad I was able to capture his vision of it. I think Angelpie is most definately destined for great things and I think she'll be around for a good long while. So glad you enjoyed it! Will have more soon! Thanks for all your wonderful encouragement and feedback! I love hearing from you! Happy new year! -p4s 2012.01.01

I think this journey will not only be good for Beth but for her whole family. now they can grow together.

Author's Response: Hi Gopher101!! Yeah, I think that this has been exactly what Bess needed. Closure on one part of her life so she can move forward. Thanks so much for reading and stopping in! -p4s 2012.01.04

I really enjoyed this chapter. I like that Bess was finally able to get some closure, so that now she can go home to her family with no doubts. I hope that she persues some kind of job working with animals because I think she would love it.

Author's Response: Hi Michelle! I also think she'd love working with animals. We'll see how things go now for her and if she can persue something like that as time moves on. Thanks so much for reading and stopping in! -p4s 2012.01.04
