I don't know how I felt about this chapter...I think Dawn was so in the right to tell those people off. I know I would do the same thing. I didn't like that Buffy wasn't sticking up for her...

Can you explain to me what you were meaning. Maybe I'll understand it better.

Author's Response: My meaning I guess is to show two different ways of dealing with grief that are neither wrong or right but have consequences when done side by side.. They're not working together at the moment...Buffy's trying to make Dawn act like her, and vice versa, but they're different people and are dealing with the loss differently, unfortunetly because their processess are so opposite they come in conflict here... Dawn thinks she was right to get upset and some would say right to tell them to stop, she stood up for herself and her mother (in her opinion and it seems you agree), but think about different views/different people...its basically that an equal number of people will see it from Buffy's side instead, that a funeral is not a place to shout and embarrass ones self because although Dawn is getting upset the day isn't about Dawn its about Joyce and who knows how Joyce would have dealt with it, probably in a calm and reasonable way (that is Buffy's view)...basically it is about BOTH of them dealing with grief in a destructive way...Dawn's is to alienate people actively by being aggressive and Buffy's is to alienate people passively by trying to make everyone act calm and surpress their emotions (which is why she says nothing of Giles' drinking in private)...I hope you understand a bit more, let me know if not! I don't mind chatting about my story at all!
