I never expected Giles to be such a wanker! I should have though considering he was going to have Buffy sent off to the Council when she was doing so badly after Dawn’s death. Loved how Buffy gave Joan permission to electrocute Andrew!! I’m afraid bad things are going to happen as a result of Giles & the Poofter picking Faith over Buffy. It looks like real life may prevent me from being able to read a chapter a day but please reassure your Evil Muse that I will read when I can and that I will finish this story. Thanks for another great chapter.

Author's Response: Hey, Melly! Yeah, Giles in this story is quite the wanker. Despite perhaps having the best of intentions to help Buffy initially, now he's got himself into a corner with Angel and Faith and can't get out, regardless of what he'd like to do. Angel, Faith, and Giles 'teaming up' will have some repercussions, for sure.

You're getting ready to hit a small patch of ... 'not quite so angsty' here in the story, just so you know, but then it will return later. Hope RL gives you a break soon, but I know how that is, you can't control it and it has no respect for Spuffy! The nerve! :)

I am so glad that Adrew was there isn't that weird. To be glad that Andrew was there. But he was able to help put Joan together and that was a major issue. I was so happy.

You played Giles and the brunettes perfectly. Especially when I read the comic issue and his closeness to Faith and his will. It was just as Willow said that he is blind.

Speaking of Willow and of course Xander it was interesting to hear what became of them. Very fitting still sad to hear that once again Tara died.

I'm glad Buffy is going home but I worry; I don't trust those two in succeeding I hope I'm wrong and I would have much preferred having had Angel burn up instead of Spike. But will Angel's soul be good enough to actual work and if it doesn't what does that mean for the world and Buffy.

Author's Response: I like Andrew for short periods of time. He can be amusing and helpful. ;-) Yes, if anyone has read the comics, I believe that the Giles backing Faith thing is quite in character (spits on comics). But, even from canon ... ok, what I think of as canon - THE SHOW, we know that Giles will do whatever it takes for the greater good, even if it hurts Buffy. He believes Angel is the one to stop TFE, so, he would back him, regardless of past transgressions.

Yeah, I love Tara and hated to kill her again, but ... that's just what my muse thought would've happened. {shurgs} We'll find out if Angel and Faith succeeded in the Hellmouth next. What may be more of a question is what will the amulet will do to Angel ... (and anyone that's read my story 'Turn Me On' knows what I think it was meant to do ... 'cleanse' muhahaha).

Unexpected developments. Faith & Angel are a matched pair of jerks. Little bit surprised by Giles' attitude, but as he doesn't know about what happened in London, I suppose he has some excuse. I love it when you take a left turn out of my expectations. Can't wait to see what happens next...

Usually he has a big mouth or someone plies him with ale (or perhaps he's just predictable). ;-D Yes, Faith and Angel, in this one will be a matched pair of 'not-nice'. Giles is just ... lost I think. I think he'd rather back Buffy, but is sort of caught between a rock and Angel and his belief that Angel is the one to stop The First (As we know, Giles will do whatever he thinks is for the 'greater good' even if it hurts Buffy).
