Angel has a lot of nerve!! Xander is really pissing me off!! Please let Buffy, Spike, Tara, Dawn, Giles and Anya put him in his place soon. His judgemental ways are driving me crazy. Anways, keep up the great work.

another fabulous chapter. i hope xander can process all this information and finally realize what willow has been doing and stop trying to blame spike for everything. wiked confrontation between spike and angel. ooooo...that was just fantastic, and way to go giles. you tell 'em. funny, funny convo between giles and anya. interesting that angel saw them standing so close together and wondered if that was really anya. hhhmmmmm.......they would be good together. always thought that. thanx for the update as always Nia

I so love this story. Something tells me that we probably haven't seen the end of Angel. I agree, I never got the so-called "chemistry" between him and Buffy. I always found him to be arrogant and self absorbed. I always love your own comments and thoughts at the first of the chapters. So many times you stated what I have always thought about particluar situations and characters. More, more, more.

I loved how brave Buffy faced Angel alone - with all her fear and gave him "the speech". And I loved the words about love, too.

The tension in this chapter was excellent. Buffy's need to be in contact with Spike was palpable, and I like the way she collected herself for the private conversation with Angel. I enjoyed Buffy calling Angel on all his one sided decisions about their relationship.

Oh I loved that. Buffy's finally coming back into her own. Keeping the conversation on them rather than dragging Spike and Darla into it was masterly. Given Angel's ego I can't wait to see how he takes it.

Beautiful - just beautiful. I loved, loved, LOVED this conversation between Buffy and Angel...well said on her part (and bumbling-idiot Angel is always great to see). Gosh, this is just such a wonderful story. Can't wait for more!

Oh wow! Go Buffy telling Angel the way it is. How great to have a story that lets Buffy see what's real in time to make something of it. Deserves all the awards.

What an excellent scene with a no nonsense dissection of the B/A relationship! Your views on this coincide with mine, and it's great to see them articulated so well within a story. I thought it was great for Buffy to be strong and face Angel alone. In case I haven't said it before, I really love this story. (And yay for perceptive Anya!)

love the title. wonderful group. still love them. the cure's, pictures of you, is one of my favorite songs. and the quote by max lerner, well, i know it too well and it is so true. i remember hearing DB butcher an irish accent and i cringed. still do. he should ahve at least done some serious studying. ok, i have to giggle at dawn. i just love this girl, completely ignoring willow. now i'm wondering what will happen when the whelp shows his face. buffy now knows what love is and it is in the form of spike. that whole time shes telling angel what love is she is talking aobut spike and i loved it. this was soo emotional and she didn't scream or holler. she was more calm than i thought she was going to be and good for her. she truly is growing up. you go buffy girl. first love is a crush. its that and nothing more. its not real love. you think it is at the time but you grow up and find that one, and buffy has...........spike

That was beautiful. And I love you breaking the Buffy-Angel myth. I actually do have place in my heart for them, but if (and big if) they were to ever get together again, it would have to be after a long time spent getting to know one another (again). I also love that Buffy was able to articulate her feelings in such an honest and beautiful manner. This was just wonderful.

Oh god Nia. What an amazing, powerful, emotional stand for Buffy to take. I can just see her little lithe form standing up to Angel's bulk. As angst-filled as this chapter was, I still would pay money to see it on television. Just the image of Buffy finally standing up for what she wants, what she needs, what she believes sent shivers down my spine. I do think that Angel and Buffy did love each other - the idea of each other. They never actually shared who they were with each other. Yes Buffy shared some of her dreams with him, but Angel shared nothing of his past. They shared death and toil. It was angsty, romantic, and could never last. It was built on dreams and demons. They had one year and some change together, as an actual couple (discounting the Angelus angst and the post-hell angst). One year does not make 2 individuals soulmates. It is refreshing to see your Buffy finally come to the realization of the truth of love. Bravo Nia for a wonderful chapter! Once again your imagery and dialogue really portrayed the thick tension in the air and powerful emotions of the confrontation. Lovely, beautiful work sweetie.

You tell 'im, Buffy. Well, you know my thoughts on Angel, so there's not much to say here other than I think you did a wonderful job. And I almost feel a little bad for Willow, although not so much because she did it to herself. Good bit with Anya, too. Makes sense that she'd figure it out.

YEAHHHHHHH BUDDY.....that just was phenomenal....First of all loved the title and the quotes you used very appropriate....I have to laugh at the Vahala comment...I could just sort of see and hear Wagner playing in the backround while Buffy on high with her helmet, chest plate and viking hat...Brunhilda indeed *laughs*......Buffy as Bugs Bunny and Spike as Elmer Fudd...*rolling on the floor I kill me*...ANYWAYS i will stop now and get to my point....That was so compelling...that stupid excuse for a vampire he deserved what Buffy told him and more....yeah Angel what is love...certainly nothing that is out of Angel's hands and not ever letting Buffy be who she is....ohhhhhh he burns my britches....That took alot of strenght on Buffy's part both emotionally and physically....Serious Kudos to her for telling him like it is and was...Damn straight that ass Spike loves Buffy without giving her conditions...it's called unconditional love...The tenderness and safety that Buffy felt with him near and he lending her the strength to what was needed....then coming in at the end to give her the last bit she needed to get Angel to get the hell out..Ohhhhhhh I hope he gets staked and be done with it...Butttttttttttt now what will the redone be doing to try to make things right in the worst wrong ways????...This was a fabulous chapter...nice use of the emotions and taking us in that room with Buffy and Angel and letting us feel it all... By the way CONGRATS on your TWO awards for Best Bite and Judge's Choice at VK. You are very deserving of them both and more!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats again Nia...

No, I haven't be obsessively refreshing looking for this. A wonderful part. Angel so needed to be put in his place. Now if someone would thump Xander upside the head.

The Dawn and Spike interaction was funny and well choreographed, tying her hair and exiting to patrol before she discovered it made me laugh. Angel immediately blaming Spike for the resurrection was excellent and in character. Thanks for rubbing his nose in Spike and Buffy's relationship. I'm looking forward to his reaction.

Love this story! Enjoyed this update; feeling a little sorry for Angel though. The web and mail-order expansion seems like a potentially interesting idea; it would be a great place for Buffy and/ or Spike to work. Less customer interaction. I like bringing in Jonathan too; are you going to use him more? Could be interesting! I'm happy with you either breaking the story up or keeping it long. You might get more readers if you break it up; less intimidating to read a smaller story.

You are EVIL to end the chapter at that point! :) I like the detail of having Angel stand in the entry of The Magic Shop so as to appear more intimidating -- he is a barely restrained Angelus. Wonderful S/B interaction as always (alone and with Dawn) and great Anya. She is smart and sympathetic. Can't wait to read the next one!
