Whoa! had some catching up to do! I guess you post here before BSB gets hold of it? Anyway, great chapters. Go Tara for trying to make Willow face up to what she was doing - and for doing it publically. Way to go Spike for calling Willow's need to control what it is. Definitely think the writers on the show missed that aspect of her personality. Love that Buffy is letting Spike feel loved, even if she hasn't said it. This is a great story. I'm in no hurry for you to end it. LOL BTW - I really love all your quotes. Will have go back through the whole story at some point and write down the ones I want to remember. "IF" has always been one of my favorite poems, too. Had to memorize it when I was in 6th or 7th grade and it's been stuck there every since. Will be looking for more updates soon.

Beautiful bittersweet chapter, Nia. My heart broke with Tara's descriptions of her feelings growing up. As someone who naively experienced and acquiesed to years of manipulation by a control driven person, I could very deeply sympathize with her. You captured the emotions of one who is emerging into wisdom and their own power just perfectly. The blend of resentment, pain, sadness, grief, revelation, success, and relief was brilliant. I adore the portrait of Tara that you are painting. Dawn's discoveries truly give me hope that she will finally have the family, the sense of belonging that she has so longed for. Just as Tara's need to belong has begun to be filled by Buffy's invitation to stay in the Summers' house. It would be lovely if Buffy, Spike, Dawn, and Tara formed a sort of family unit. Not that they aren't already, but their family unit could be improved by the absence of Willow in the household. I can really see these four, and additionally Giles, as the new core to this family of warriors. I think it's time for the "scooby gang" to be put to rest. As sad as it is, that unit will never be as close as it once was. It is heartening to see Buffy so open with her feelings around Spike, and so intent to have him in her life. The officiallity of Spike moving into Buffy's room may solidify their familial unit even more. And it may give Buffy a greater sense of safety and peace. I'm all for anything that lightens her emotional load and promises more frequent orgasms. More orgasms = higher levels of endorphins and serotonin in the brain. Higher levels of endorphins and serotonin in the brain = more balanced emotional functioning, decreased chance of depression. So I say bring on the smut! Er, please? Great chapter Nia! This one was incredibly evocative and poignant.

I know this is going to come as a huge surprise, but I liked this chapter. lol Buffy's reaction to Tara was good, telling her she was a friend she didn't want to lose. At least this Buffy knows where her real support is... And the last scene with Spike and Buffy was really touching. Can't wait to see what you do with Angel and his lil' spawn, too.

Nice beginning scene with Buffy and Spike and Spike sort of forcing buffy along because well she needs alittle push...GO TARA GO TARA give that bitch hell...though i hope that is not it because Willow is so totally ingnorant to anything she said....God damn that Xander dismissing Anya so much,,,,grrrrrrrrrr feed him to the hell hounds....he would make a good sacrafice.....oh oh loved Dawn trying to figure out who the dad is here....*laughs* at it soooooo not being Angel....i hope she figures out the truth soon and well then there is that dilema on how to tell them what she found without you know getting in trouble....Nice cliffhangers here Nia...naughty girl....tisk tisk tisk...i love every moment of it....

I agree with you about both the treatment of Willow (by Tara and Giles) and about the treatment of Anya. People really were meant to Anya and I liked her damn it. I was also just outright pissed at Willow throughout entire Season 6. So yea for that. Now what exactly is Dawn going to find?

Yeah, that's right Tara, you tell 'em! It's so great to read Tara stepping up and speaking back to Willow, awesomely written! And I really, really hope that Spike is Dawn's father - I'm beginning to think he is, and BTW, I'm really enjoying reading about Dawn researching her past, such a great idea and so well written. What else can I say that I haven't already said? I love this story, can't wait for more!

The dinner scene was wonderfully written. Your Tara was perfect, and I'm glad she finally said something to Willow. And the bits with Anya and Xander were great, too. It was good to see Tara picking up on how badly he treats Anya. And Dawn finally getting into those journals. Loved it.

Very exciting Nia! Oh, you got my blood boiling with Willow's actions. I'm so thrilled that Tara finally voiced her opinions to Willow. While I'm not so thrilled that it has come to this, Tara stepping up for herself (and Dawn) was just wicked fabulous. And thank you for having Anya back Tara up. That whole scene was just brilliantly written. The descriptive imagery transported me inside Tara's head. It was just phenomenal. I do hope nothing happens to Tara on her way home. *fingers crossed* I loved the initial scene between Buffy and Spike as well. I know Spike doesn't want to push her, but you did a great job in using Spike's intelligent deductions that will hopefully, in time, convince Buffy to tell Giles of her time in heaven. Very craftily done. I'm so glad Buffy is patrolling again! It's remarkable that she is able to assume such a responsibility so soon after being resurrected. And last but not least... Dawnie researching her roots - this part had me clapping my hands and squeeing. I so hope, hope, hope that Spike is her biological father. *crosses fingers* Most of all I hope that the "dark warrior" is not Angel (patooey), or Dracula, or Penn. I think those are all the notable male vampires that were on both shows. And I really hope that if Dawn does find proof that her father and mother are who she wants them to be, that it doesn't take too much convincing for the others to believe her. Wonderful, exciting, suspenseful chapter Nia!
